Have you been able to successfully downgrade your 3DS/2DS?

Asking here now as the other thread is dwindling:
What potential downsides are there to being on an outdated version such as 9.2? Is there still stable eShop access, homebrew launcher remaining usable, playability of games + DLC, etc.?

Successfully installed a bunch of CIAs then o3ds randomly said an error occurred, the system will restart. Fortunately was able to get into recovery. I'll probably try once more but otherwise I'm gonna wait it out if I fail

Any reports of what entry point is best? I'm about to use ironhax unless there are any objections.
I tried twice. First time: HomeMenuHax. No dice; had to use recovery mode to update. At that point, I was using 10.1 trying to downgrade to 9.2.
Second time, I was on 10.3, used OoTHax. Same situation; had to use recovery mode.
Reacquiring 9.2 CIAs to try again. Gonna try with OoTHax.

Mine screens are completely black only the blue light is on... Ive tried recovery mode but it wont boot.

I tried using menuhax and it freezes on step 5. OoTHax gives an error after step 3. What do I do?

Just tried doing this on my n3dsxl 10.3U. Finally got to start sysupdater properly but then it didn't let me downgrade. Guess i'll wait for a more stable release :p

Decided to give this a shot, here's my experience:

10.1.0-27E o3ds xl
via Menuhax
Had to run SysUpdater around 20 times before it worked, kept freezing and pressing 'Y' did nothing. [from what I saw if the text is messed up at all it failed, was perfect only on the time it worked]
System reset and then black screened [which I knew was due to Menuhax]
Turned it off removed the sd card, powered it back on, changed the theme to get rid of MenuHax and boom!

Last edited by Santaros,
Worked perfectly on my second try, formerly O3DS 9.9.0-26U to 9.2.0-20U

Thank you very much!
