Hello there Internet.
About a year ago now, I stumbled across a Gameboy Color at a shop. It was modded, which I typically try not to buy, as I dont know what all a modder did inside. Alas, here we are. I bought it anyway like a goober. From what I can tell, there is a Funnyplaying Laminated IPS display in here, a new speaker, a rechargeable battery, and an LED button mod. All cool stuff. Everything is working fine... except when I tried trading Pokemon. I have multiple official GBC Link Cables, all of which work. But when I connect it to another GBC and go to trade, the modded system never detects that there is a Link Cable attached. So my next guess was to clean it... didn't work. I tried different cables... didn't work. I tried using a 3rd party Nyko cable, and it didn't work. Curious, I put a Worm Light in it, and the light turned on. So, it's getting power, but not sure why I can't trade. Thinking it was something goofy with some mods, I removed the LED mod (It was getting on my nerves anyway) and it still did nothing.
Any ideas? Any help is much appreciated! Thank you so much for looking!
