Tutorial Simple Guide to Downgrading your 3DS

Every time I try I get the error:

Failed to get CIA file info!

Any advice? I've tried with both menuhax and ironhax

So it worked but on the first boot my screen turned black, O3ds ironhax, should I turn it off(sorry for all these questions, this is new for me)

But the 126 files is ok? ( i heard it was supossed to be 130)

Mine was 126 and it worked fine. They were probably rounding up. Just make sure everything's in the right spot and you're good.

Mind giving some details on your 3DS, like the model, FW, entrypoint, etc.?

I bricked as well:

O3DS
9.9.0-26U
Entrypoint: Menuhax 2.1
Issue: Downgrade stopped due to a missing cia file (apparently) and force rebooted my 3ds. Now I get a black screen everytime I power the 3ds on. (With and without SD) Also, I can't boot to recovery.

i install browserhax and it takes me to download play on 9.2?

Doesn't work with Browserhax. Try OoT3Dhax or Ironhax

@Loversan Well the missing CIA is the issue. Did it give details on which CIA was missing?

So I got this working perfectly on my secondary 3ds on the first try using ironhax as the entry point ..
My question is.. Is it safe to "Format System Memory" now that we have correctly downgraded?
Would like to format so I can unlink the NNID so I can set one up for a 10.3 emunand.

So... is it really worth to downgrade? I mean, i've a lot of legit apps and games installed in my sd card, and since you are downgrading and need to unlink sysnand and emunand, do i will lose all my data? I dont want to lose it...

Also tried with FTP-3DS open/close but that shit just freezes on Press B to Exit, like FTP-Brony does.

Bricked similar to what PF2M described in his earlier post:

Was about 4 CIAs into installation and then interrupted by a black error screen in the regular 3DS font saying that an error has occurred and that I need to restart.

I am unable to enter Recovery Mode. Tried with and without SD card inserted.

I am on N3DSXL running 9.9 with MenuHax.

Has anyone who hasn't used MenuHax experienced a brick?

The promt happened when the sysupdater was trying to install the eshop cia :c
