Honestly no idea. I have no issues with this myself and I am on the December 29th release.Several times, doesn't work. Even if it were the case, it still doesn't make sense that it works with the november builds and not the newer ones.
I don't know..you could try getting the latest nightly (again if you already did?).Just did it, still no luck.

I have tried searching relevant comments regarding thisbut have not found a clear answer for players that encounter this error even with a working ROM and Emulator. I am using GPSP latest version. I get this error, "cannot push NULL or empty core info into the playlist." etc.
Does this matter at all if I am able to play games normally? I placed my GBA Bios file into the core folder. Which I found just following the RetroArch guide.
I'm considering to buy a n3DS *just to emulate SNES/GBA*, so I'm wondering how good the emulation is. Here and there I read it's perfect and every game is playable at 60fps, but I've also seen some people complaining about some game not running or the whole Retroarch core crashing...
So, how really is the emulation experience on n3DS? Should I buy a cheap Android console instead?
Considering RetroArch for 3DS is still in the fairly early stages, it's simply not reliable, yet. If you want something now and are willing to spend a little bit of money, just buy a PSP. The homebrew and emulators for the PSP are well developed and polished.I'm considering to buy a n3DS *just to emulate SNES/GBA*, so I'm wondering how good the emulation is. Well I've been using the December 29th builds for NES, SNES and GBA/GB games in my N3DS and they are running quite neat.I'm considering to buy a n3DS *just to emulate SNES/GBA*, so I'm wondering how good the emulation is. If it's GBA games you're talking about, then maybe you're right (it's very close now), but for SNES a N3DS is heaps better than the PSP. Also the screen resolution gives a 3DS the nod over the PSP in the first place... In fact, the only times I pull out my PSP now is if I want to play PS1 games. I thought the N3DS's resolution was the same as the o3DS. As for SNES emulation, I only have a friend's N3DS to go off of, but it seemed the more recent fork of Snes9xTYL mecm was still better, though I don't know when the last time he updated his builds. Still, for now, I'd still recommend a PSP over a N3DS for emulation, at least until a stable build of RetroArch is released. The emulators for the PSP are tried and test, not to mention PSPs are only $40 right now. So you'd get something well tested and compatible for just a bit of cash. Now that's not considering other factors that may sway a consumer one way or another. If it's GBA games you're talking about, then maybe you're right (it's very close now), but for SNES a N3DS is heaps better than the PSP. For PS1/PSP alone, the PSP is still an awesome system. Don't let the Nintendo fanboys trick any of you into believing otherwise.I'm considering to buy a n3DS *just to emulate SNES/GBA*, so I'm wondering how good the emulation is. Not sure about Pilotwings or Kirby Superstart, but I know Yoshi's Island runs fairly well on the more recent builds of Snes9xTYL mecm over on Wololo. Not saying that SNES emulation is better on the PSP, just that with those more recent builds, it's not that bad anymore. And from my own testing, it's SNES compatibility appears to be slightly better than the PSP's. For example, Yoshi's Island, Pilotwings, and Kirby Superstar all play full speed on the n3DS (PocketSNES), but are unplayable on the PSP.
Having tried both, I will say that the N3DS outperforms PSP on those games (though I can't say about Pilotwings either), and like LumInvader says the screen size on a N3DSXL makes a big difference too.Not sure about Pilotwings or Kirby Superstart, but I know Yoshi's Island runs fairly well on the more recent builds of Snes9xTYL mecm over on Wololo. What's the framerate? I remember Yoshi's Island's fps dipping into the 30s-40s on level 1-1 with mecm -- totally unplayable for me.Not sure about Pilotwings or Kirby Superstart, but I know Yoshi's Island runs fairly well on the more recent builds of Snes9xTYL mecm over on Wololo. However, even if the PSP were to achieve full speed SNES emulation, it still falls a ways short of the n3DS XL due to it's tiny screen size. Being better doesn't mean perfect, though. Right now Retroarch 3DS still has some pretty annoying issues that need to be addressed, for example:
- Some emulators treat .zips as folders, which means clicking a game requires you to navigate the .zip folder to select the game AGAIN
- Picodrive's 1:1 mode is broken (ugly gfx)
- Mednafen PCE Fast's 1:1 mode is also broken (ugly gfx)
- Changing an emulator setting changes that setting for EVERY emulator
