Thank you! I will update it through emunand! One last question though. I'm going to update to version 9.0 just so i use the homemenuhax, but when i do that and when i update my emunand to the latest version. Can i still use the autoboot thingy (homemenuhax) to boot it up directly to even if my sysnand is on version 9.0 and my emunand is above 10.1? :)
Yes, because you're using homemenuhax on sysnand, not emunand.

Yes but just to be clear, you can't update your sysnand to 9.0 through the system settings. You have to use something like sysupdatr or a retail game with that update. Not sure what you can use on your current fw version but a quick search should clarify all

I am on a New 3DS XL. Can I get the emunand up to date to play games online? I read somewhere that it is not going higher than 9.5 because the newer firmwares are not decrypted, yet. so is the emunand easily updatable on N3DS?

We will have higher emunand support in the future, because smea, plutoo, derrek and yellows8 broke the encryption.
Anyway for playing online you just need the latest title update for the game, not the emunand

if you are on N3ds you need to be careful. DO NOT UPDATE YOUR SYSNAND ABOVE 9.0 OR 9.2 OR YOU WILL LOSE CFW.

DO NOT UPDATE EMUNAND BEYOND 9.5

If you are confused don't do ANYTHING. READ READ READ AND MORE READ. Especially read the threads of other people saying "help I screwed up"

if you are confused it is pretty easy to lose your hax, or even brick you system. Be careful.

Is this only for the n3ds?
Because i have updated my emuNAND to the latest version and all my games through eShop. :)

but what if the update requires a higher FW?

Google and the noob sections are available...
READ...lmfao! Please don't make threads before researching. Good day sir.

So all i have to do is to go to "Settings", while i'm in rxTools (the RX-E + version thingy), and click "System Update"?
As tempting i am to do that, but to be honest, i'm a bit scared it will update my Sysnand instead of the Emunand, even though it says RX-E:blush::blush:
Is it really that easy? :O
If you are in emuNAND it works as a sandbox and the 3DS is physically unable to access sysNAND because all reads/writes are redirected to emuNAND, so there is nothing to worry about.

No, but you can cobble something together to get eShop working at least, so you'll be able to grab game updates (and play online). You'll need the latest homebrew launcher (you can use https://github.com/yellows8/hblauncher_loader/releases as a convenient way to access it from emuNAND) as well as the latest nver cia installed to your emuNAND.
You can download the nver cia with 3DNUS/3DSNUS. If your console is USA region the TitleID to download is 000400DB00016302 v448. Make sure you pick the "New 3DS" option and don't touch the version spoof. Reboot your 3DS after installing it, go into emuNAND again, run homebrew launcher and use the eShop shortcut, which will now work as you have the latest nver.

No, for spoof the updates you have to decryp and extract the update.cia, open the decrypted exheader with a hex editor and modify certain bytes (or use exinjector instead), then rebuild the update.cia
