Hacking Is it possible to run homebrew using Sky3DS?

You need to be on 10.3 to use that.

If you do, you need first click on the Eshop on main menu. Then exit and boot hombrew launcher (remember to update homebrew launcher boot.3dsx and payload... using the new starter kit) and launch the Eshop old version downloader.
That doesn't make any sense. The old version downloader is the same shortcut to HANS as the regular eShop shortcut, just with a flag added that makes it get the oldest version of a title. It shouldn't be neccessary to run eShop through HANS just to exit and run eShop through HANS again.

Does that new method of installing ironhax not work or something? Because my friend can't at all get his eshop to load on his 2ds
It only works on 10.2 and up but I wouldn't recommend updating as snshax was apparently patched in 10.2.
Nintendo added a new version check to NNID login that's why eShop doesn't work on lower firmwares anymore.

I meant not through HANS. Run Eshop normally on normal main menu for the first time then exit. Then launch HBL then try the Eshop downloader there.
