Homebrew 3DS Rom dump question

Hello, I was wondering, how hard would it be to code a homebrew dumper for the 3DS that can choose between the internal SD card and one in a flashcart (like the gateway)? This would make things a LOT easier for N3DSXL owners (either mess with the cover of the N3DSXL or use the slow-as wi-fi method). What do you all think?

Wait what? You can dump roms in the gateway Menu why would you want to get a rom from the red card when it's already on your PC or do you mean decrypt roms?

That would be very difficult to do without gateway's help. They have the source code to interface with their card, we don't.

Even then, since you can't have the target cart and the GW cart at the same time, you would have to dump to the system microSD first then copy back to the GW microSD. Impractical.
