Hi, i have a 2ds and ive got cfw on it, is it possible to install ds games onto custom firmware?

At the start of the year we travelled to disneyland paris on a coach trip and the coach crashed, we lost everything as the coach went up in flames. Including sons 3ds with his gateway inside it. I still have the blue cartridge from the gateway, is it possible to use this on the 2ds for ds roms?

Thank you

You can't install ds roms on your CFW but ds roms should run from the bluecard. If they don't, install bluecardfix or flashcarttimewarp on both sysnand and emunand and it should work. Not sure if all these steps are required (especially the "install to emunand" part) but they shouldn't hurt.

if you have Blue Gateway, yeah, for sure you can play DS Game in 2DS, you just need to install some stuff, kind of complicated if you don't know what you are doing, if you want then I can tell you how

mmm on rxTools Menu, you need to select SysNAND instead of EmuNAND, then open FBI, but if you installed FBI directly to EmuNAND, you'll need to install it again on SysNAND, but like I said, first made a NAND Backup, then check launching rxTools Menu and SysNAND if you can open FBI

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I have just recently done that as i was switching to a bigger SD card, thanks
Ohh!! ok, so then, did you install FBI directly to EmuNAND?

you can run ds homebrew's (and rom's ?) with sudokuhax

You can run small homerews that fit into the 16M memory, but it's very complicated and obsolete, because it doesn't automatically patch DLDI (dynamically linked device interface / used by libfat), so homebrews won't be able to write files on the SDCard.

If I remember correctly, you can make a .cia from .srl (clean DSi-compatible ROM) with a modified opensource makerom binary that you can install on your "SysNAND's SDCard" with FBI, but that requires SysNAND-sided rxMode + an overwritten Health and Safety app.
