Sorry, I didn't get that Sky3DS runs .3DS and not .cia (just two different file types). So if you gave a translated .3DS with Sky3DS+, no problem right?

edit: sorry didn't see your answer. So no solutions for us right now...

Learning japanese might be our last resort.

Even if I am crazy enough to do that (already started some months ago) you would have great difficulties understanding all the Kanji required for armor skills and such...

2 years of japanese courses for me, and I didn't get on kanji yet. But I can read Hiragana and Katakana. A transcript of armors and skills might be enough.

Yeah, same here, no big problems with hiragana and katakana, some kanji, but still not enough for the game.

playing mh in japanese is no biggie, i played 4 and 4g in jap and it was simple just use the resources like the wiki
They changed the way a lot of things work, like food and upgrades. Hunts are still hunts, but a lot of things are weird.

Once the wiki is more complete it should be easier, but right now the translation patch is a godsend.

Wait, seeing the OP, MHX doesn't work with HANS at all or just the patch? I'm still waiting for my copy to come in the mail from PlayAsia, though I wish they had shipped it sooner to get it on release day.

I got my copy today you can play using the regionfree launcher that's included with the latest ninjahax/ironhax stuff (regionfive?) I didn't try launching it through hans. Online works too.

I've been away from the 3DS homebrew scene so I just updated to latest and kept Cubic Ninja to play imports. That's all I needed to know. Thank you!! :)

Besides, I think HANS still might be bugged for N3DS anyway (Running games in O3DS mode with no C Stick or Zed buttons.)

What we got to hope, is the fact that it will evolve thanks to the community, and we will have the c stick support. But I don't get why HANS doesn't launch MHX ?

I can confirm the retail game runs fine with region free launcher. HANS crashes when trying to load the game. No attempt to use the patch at all just trying to run it thru HANS doesn't work.

I read a lot that online didn't work on EU because of some EULA shit, your comment makes me feel a bit reassured, thank you for this.
What is the firmware you're using?

I maaaay have done something weird, but I'm seeing v.2 on the boot menu, and the hunter arts appear to not be translated(as indicated in the v.3 patch notes). Can anyone show me what they have in the arc folder from the download?

Thanks for this patch!

just a report, one of my friends submitted this bug from v3, seems that a quest in village HR2 (Request for Torosashimiuo or something) now says "Deliver 3 Mountain Herbs" instead of 3 "Torosashimiuo" fish. Subquest is deliver 1 goldenfish (Subquest is correct). Area is Forest and Hills

So if I'm running 9.9 on us n3ds using ninjhax there's no way I can use the patch until smea updates hans? Also will the game even run on regionfree from home brew launcher or not

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
