Hmmm, the OP mentions that SD cards up to 256GB are supported, but wiiubrew states that the wiiu has a SDHC port which only supports up to 32GB.
well im using a 64gb sdhc right now for loadiine, i had to format it with a program i found online but i got it to work

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

is it possible to get eshop titles like octodad and typoman working with loadiine?

i was interested in buying either a 64gb or maybe 128gb (also unsure which brand). but i am stuck choosing one as im unsure about performance difference?

here.
this is the place we report new versions, and progress (I even spoil the future features too soon, haha)
There's no twitter or facebook, or social media. this thread is the only one.

You can also check this graphic to see if a new release is available:

Does the master tag signify new release? Or a commit? Are any commits considered releases?

The 'master' tag means that is the main branch of the repository. The devs push their changes on it. And when enought changes are made(and they are stable) a new release is made.

The master is the head of the changes. it means it's the last version by that developer. (each developers have their own master)

The "official" release is dimok's branch. It's the one users here are using for wiki version and where the main changes happens.
other branches are different modifications to the main version (like Maschell version has a different way to manage save folders, it's not using c and u, but c and correct userID, one save per profile).

There's no "real" last version, as anybody can edit and release its own modification or improvement. but the main used version is dimok's.
It doesn't mean that dimok is doing all the job alone, all other devs are helping, it's just "officially" released here.

thanks for pointing that out. for some reason i was mainly searching micro sd cards lol. this is a reasonable price have you tested it out much?

Yeah, it's working perfectly fine. I get around 80MB/s read and 50MB/s write with larger files. Since most Wii U games have lots of smaller files it takes longer to copy them to a SD card.

Cyan, have you figured out if the new builds will load DLC?

Has anybody figured out how to extract installed DLC to inject into the file system, so Loadiine can load them? With the upcoming compatibility with MK8, I wonder if my purchased DLC will work.

sounds like ill be investing in one next week then. thanks for pointing it out

no, it does not yet. I got mario kart DLC, but it's not "triggering" the install when launching the game from loadiine.
We tried online access too but it didn't work. Miiverse access worked, but I didn't try to post a message as I'm sure it's posting it to SSBU, it would be bad to have another game picture on SSBU section.
We will try again later, currently it was focusing on rewriting the loader to get better compatibility. rewrite is done, we need testing now.

DLC extract should be possible, but you can also extract it with TCPgecko (FSA is listing game's available file, it's merging all game+update+dlc)
If you dump a game with DLC installed, you should get the DLC dumped too. but there's no way to extract only the dlc for the moment.
Maybe something like saviine could be done.

So you are basically saying that DLC could be really a thing in the "near" future?

I don't know. it's only speculation.
seeing FSA should list them, it's possible to get them and put in content folder.
I don't know if the games checks the dlc path to unlock them in the game or if it only needs the files in the content folder.

yeah i was going to test with hundshamer but when he tried dumping the NSMBU DLC it wasn't listed in FSA even though it was working fine in the game

That's what I thought, but when I tried it with NSMBU with LuigiU DLC it showed the folders as empty. The same folders appear with files in the standalone LuigiU dump extraction. I even tried to take the files extracted from the standalone LuigiU dump with the files from my NSMBU+LuigiU dump to no avail. Now I'm not sure if it matters, but the NSMBU was an e-shop version. At least with MK8 I have a disc.

There are additional checks which need some patching. AOC_ListTitle / AOC_GetPurchaseInfo ...

The DLC files are often included in the update data and are unlocked via those functions.

...And they aren't accessed to dump via TCPGecko? I even tried from LuigiU's static menu to try and get legitimately purchased DLC. Also bear in mind that my friend purchased NSMBU and LuigiU separately.

I see, the dlc files don't always include the game files, they can be already on disc and need unlocks/purchase to use them in game.
so even if TCPgecko dump the files, they won't be activated unless you unlocked them.
but some DLC comes with additional game files (like XenobladeX to load them from hdd)

What users still hope it to get their officially bought DLCs be used in games launched from loadiine.
that will be fair. (not dlc piracy or unlocking without paying)
