Simply just say what you recently dropped or broke.
For an example, I dropped my shelf. I thought it was a mangoing pineapple.

I dropped my mobile phone into the toilet.

I wasn't using the toilet at the time, I was trying to shake sugar out of my pocket, and the mobile phone fell out of a different pocket.

Anywhoo, it's a European style toilet bowl, not the brim-filled US kind, and the phone managed to land horizontally and get stuck across the bowl instead of plunking into the water but still, technically, it fell into the toilet.
