Well, to be safe, i redone everything with my O3DS (also hardmodded)

@capito27
(First i made a backup of my NAND and EmuNAND and SD)
- Made a NAND backup with rxTools
- Moved it to my computer and wrote it back to my O3DS with Win32DsikImager

And i suppose the rest you didn't need to know right? ;)

@capito27

Anyway

Yes, the O3DS did boot fine into sysnand, everything was there and it also booted fine into emunand
So, your rxTools NAND backup seems to work perfect for O3DS.

To be honest i'm a bit scared to do the on on the XL cause the size doesn't match, so don't get angry for not trying that out :D

There is no problem, the nand size is also différent if you make a nand backup with gateway on your O3DS.

Then this means that the nand dumper seems to be good now! Good to know, thanks again for testing ! :)

Well, the size also doesn't match the hardmod nand backup of the XL.
And no, the size of the NAND with Gateway / Hardmod / rxTools are a perfect match on the O3DS

[EDIT]
You have to keep in mind that there are 2 different NAND chipsets for O3DS XL, both have there own size, Also the NAND backup of the XL is always bigger (around 1Mb) in size then the Normal O3DS.

Working on mobile optimisation (Don't shoot meh! IT A WIP!!):

As you can see, things are a bit bigger than what they would've been before, without the changes I made.

Edit: Report any feedback, if there's any problems and I'll try working on it.

hello,
I already install the rxtools and successfully boot it into emunand RX-E 9.0.0.20U on my new 3ds.
but when i try to install cia manager and cia games, it keep installed into sysnand.
when i boot into emunand, the games or everything that i install on cia manager were gone, and when I boot into sysnand suddenly it reappear
it's already unlinked as I can see there are 2 folder on nintendo 3ds folder.

thanks

Go to homebrew section and find d0k3's universal injector. It will get your emunand to have FBI.

yeah i've read that thread, but does it save to do?
i don't want to do something I don't know which lead me to a brick

Well i made a NAND backup of my O3DS XL with latest rxTools, the size is not correct. The size is the same as my NAND backup of my O3DS (None XL) 988.807.168bytes
My XL normal NAND backup = 1.000.341.504bytes
988 one is Toshiba.
1000 one is Samsung.
BTW, in N3DS, 1.21GB is Samsung and 1.84GB is Toshiba.

I just removed anything rx related from my SD card and installed the latest nightly. When I turn it on, it freezes at the installation screen (it's been more than a minute) with black bottom screen.

Did u add the firm folder to the root rxTools folder?

Followed the readme to the letter.

After afew attempts, I've managed to get the bottom screen to come on. That's progress, I guess? Still freezing though.
Are you using N3DS? Currently N3DS has some issue with hax 2.0-2.5.
Use CtrBootManager/BootCtr or MSET entry.

Yes to all.

Just so I know, is what it installs any different than my previous setup, because if not, then I'll just move that back. and skip the install.

just want to ask some question about latest build:

1. is the latest build have working emuNAND/sysNAND/pasta mode on N3DS?
2. how bout GBA VC? will it work on N3DS unlinked emuNAND?

people says we need to install GBA VC CIA both on emu/sysNAND if theyre unlinked?
but what sysNAND specifically? the plain sysNAND or the pastamode... thanks and have a nice day guys :-)

If you update rxTools, rxTools deletes /rxTools/data directory and proceed to install. So backup files are of no use.

Even if the bottom screen is not visible, installation is still being done. Wait a bit, press any key.

so GBA VC is only for o3ds at this moment... hope rxteam will fix it soon on N3ds, and i hope that installing/playing GBA VC CIA on unlinked emuNAND without the need to install GBA VC CIA at sysNAND will be also possible on future... thanks ;-)

Test versions to support unsigned GBA VC on N3DS emunand are being pushed out.
That would be coming soon.
And if you are using unlinked emunand, you won't be able to play GBA VCs on emunand even with the fixes without installing cias on both nands. That problem cannot patched.

Yes.

Yes.
wow, so the only missing function is GBA VC, and it really surprising to hear that soon, we will not need to install gba vc on sysnand to play it on emunand, cuz honestly i dont want to make some mess with sysnand, i make my sysnand untouched & intact as much as possible :-)

oh i forgot, i hope that cheat engine/ramhack on game menu like gateway do will also be possible in future :-)

That part isn't true.
You will have to install it on both nands to play GBA VC. EVER.
