Hello. I have a few questions about the Sky3ds flashcard (Blue button)

Is it still the only way to play 3ds roms on any firmware above 9.2?
Are there any games it can't run?
Will it work with HANS/braindump, for romhacks?
Will this micro sd card work with it? And does the class have a impact on game swiching speed?
If I save in a game then turn off my 3ds, will the save be lost? Or do I have to exit the game for the save file to be written?

I think that's everything.
Thanks :)

I went through that thread, most of my questions were answered.
But I could not find answers to:

Will it work with HANS/braindump, for romhacks?

1. Yes, sadly.
2. New games that have come out in 2015, some of them, sadly most of the Nintendo franchised games are already patched.
3. Yes, works flawlessly.
4. Yes, It's best to use Class 10 SDHC type, Beware of fakes, SanDisk is a good choice too, cheaper than Kingston.
5. As long as you don't take out the SD card, if you are to take it out, make sure BEFORE removing the SD card, pressing the button to game cycle, it won't be erased. Also it has to be for obvious reasons you have to cycle games while it's inserted before ejecting it.

A couple newer games come with Anti-Piracy(AP) measures. Sky3DS, so far, cannot play these games.
HANS should work.

1. Ok.
2. Is there anyway to bypass this?
3. Alright, thanks. But, how would saving work? Would I exit the game via L+R+Down+B (new in hax 2.5) and then press the button on the sky3ds?
4. Alright, and that kingston is the cheapest one I could find (On sale for $12.95 USD) Unless sandisk is just simply better? If it is, what (32GB) sandisk microSD card would work?
5. So I can save in-game then turn off my 3ds, I just cannot remove the microSD card until I turn the 3ds back on and press the button the the sky3ds. I think I got that right (and I think that's the answer to 3, but a bit different :P)

2. Currently, nope. It's a hard wall at this point, only time will tell.
3. Save normally as you would, then yes button cycle. As long as you don't take out the SD card the save will be stored, although temporarily until cycled.
4. Yes San Disk has been proven to get better test results. As an internal storage for the 3DS it doesn't make much of a difference except for a few seconds load time, but for the Sky it makes a big difference in read/write/load times. Your call if you want to get the Ultra series or the regular, but always opt for Class 10 (The number within a circle)
5. Pretty much ;)

Can anyone confirm if that's a legit SanDisk product? I don't want to end up getting a counterfeit one.

Don't buy a sky3ds. Get a clone instead. More "features!"

Yes. I have a 16gb one in my raspberry pi, a 32 gb one in my new 3ds and a 64gb one in my old 3ds (for piracy) .
Those are amazing fast and cheap cards. 10/10
