do you have an working internet connection for the 3ds
did you pick the right system type and FW version and region when installing
did you update to the newest installer

not sure if there are newer carts of OoT that do block the exploit but there might be

Yeah, I did all of those/made sure I had that. And if there's newer carts blocking the exploit, I highly doubt mine is. I bought it before the exploit was even found.

Okay. Can someone simplify to me what I need to do to install OoTHax? I've read so many different things Here is what I have.
-Physical copy of OoT3D
-Powersaves
-Old 3DS with 10.1
-New 3DS with 10.2

I do not have another hax I can use. I had Themehax on my old 3ds but it stopped working and I couldn't reinstall it due to Browserhax being dead. However, I already have Powersaves and I read about it being able to be used to install the hax. However, I am not clear on what exactly I need and what exactly I need to do.

I can confirm that Smea's new update has made Oot3DHax work with 2.5. Just use the installer in the thread since it downloads the payloads directly from Smea's site, which are updated. Also, it's possible to have Oot3DHax 2.5 and another save. :D

If the new online installer continues to only work for 9.9 and up only (I still don't get why you can't pick from ALL of the supported hax 2.5 firmwares), you can still use my offline installer for old firmwares like 9.0 as well.

Are you sure it wouldn't cause problems down the line? Attempting to create another save in-game causes an error, so I don't know if it would be a good idea to manually write your own other save back to the game.

You can't install OoT3DHAX's *hax 2.5 payload on OoT3DHAX! Use a R4 Save Dongle instead!

No idea if it would but what's the worse it could do?

I can't seem to run the exploit with the save I got through Powersaves, it freezes the game when I interact with something in game to run the exploit

May I ask again?
Does save00.bin has also changed or do I only have to reinject the new 2.5 payload.bin to get smealum fix for OoT3dHax?

temper999: I don't think you need to change your save00.bin. Unless you maybe have a really old one?

I used save_manager and only uploaded the new payload, keeping my old save00.bin file. Got OoThax working on O3DS9.5.0-xxE, N3DS9.9.0-26E and N3DS 10.2.0-28E. Only by swapping the payload.bin for the correct versions.

Edit: I assume you are using one of the save files from OoT hax. And that the save00.bin file you are mentioning is not a "real" save file.
