How did you extract the data from romfs.bin, i dont know the command

Does your PC usually be able to show Japanese characters? I've extracted Fates and Awakening with no problems.So I have a question, and I assume this is a problem with romfs extractor and not braindump.
After dumping Fire Emblem: Awakening, and extracting the romfs contents, I get invalid file names instead of the expected Japanese file names.

Well, at least we solved that problem. xDOh, Derp
I had forgotten that I recently formatted my HDD and did a clean install of Windows, so I haven't downloaded any of the additional languages.
It will dump a .romfs. which is essentially the whole rom but cant be used as one.Will this be able to dump whole games into files?
e.g. cart/download -> .3ds
or is there no point?
(sorry neobrain for initially putting this on the github issues)

you don't double click ctrtools... you run a command prompt window (cmd) and then use the program that way, by typing the program name and giving it the commands.For me, ctrtools opens and the immediately closes. Can someone help me out here? Or am I just being dumb

Thanks alot!you don't double click ctrtools... you run a command prompt window (cmd) and then use the program that way, by typing the program name and giving it the commands.
doubleclicking it will launch the app in a cmd, but it will close immediately, because with no commands it will "finish" immediately, and close![]()

thanks, appreciate it champIts The Same Command As Decompressing The exefs : ctrtool -t romfs --romfsdir=romfs --decompresscode romfs.bin
