Okay..now that browserhax is patched, it seems like people without a N3DS are pretty much screwed. But smealum mentioned on Twitter that the only option for the time being is ninjhax. Before I drop $40 on a copy of cubic ninja, I'd like to ask: Can anybody confirm that AS OF TODAY, ninjhax is working on 10.1.0.27-u on an OLD 3DS XL? I am really desperate to run homebrew somehow and if this is the only way, I'll do it, but I wanna confirm it first, and I can't find anything anywhere about whether it works now that browserhax is patched.

If you really want to run homebrew and don't want to buy another 3DS (with lower firmware) I guess you can opt for the Sky3DS and run Cubic Ninja from there for the exploit (Sure you would end up paying more for the flashcart) but in return be able to play them "backups" :-)

Okay, I'm out of the loop on this..lol. What is Sky3DS? I googled and all I find is where to download files and stuff, but not actually what it is

And is it necessary for ninjhax?

It's best to get a copy of Cubic Ninja anyway as Sky3DS cost $90 roughly last I checked. I managed to snag a really cheap copy when EB Games had put it back up on their store for a laughable price, and it is definitely worth getting in case any other hax gets patched as well as being useful for secondary hax you may want to install. (Like Oothax or themehax in your case.)

I already have 10.2 ironhax and a sky3ds and digital OOT, and digital ssb4 so I got no problem

It's a nice investment, as ninjhax seems to be quite patch-proof. I have themehax installed and don't plan to ever update my 9.5 N3DS, but it's still a safe feeling to have Cubic Ninja as a backup.
it's just a very nice exploit. Starting the exploit with it is pretty quick, so that's a good thing. You don't have to sit through endless logos and menus

As we had seen Cubic Ninja is the only hax that really make Nintendo panic. All other hax Nintendo has good counter measurement. They even set up this trap in 9.9 update ever since Smealum hinted at Ironhax (at time you need to update 9.9 to access Eshop for Ironfall game. And many did). Afterward, they patiently let us homebrews users get carried way to keep updated to access Eshop when TubeHax, Themehax, BrowserHax appeared. Then yesterday their master stroke move caught many of us.

How much is sky3ds right now?
I think sky3ds is definitely much better and worth buying than ninjhax considering that the latter will be so expensive again.

This is exactly why i've been buying Cubic Ninja carts whenever I can, I own 13 of them atm and plan on selling them for 50 on ebay.
13 is a bad number I read somewhere. Perhaps you need to rid 1 fast by selling at the price you bought + shipping. Some may want to help taking the bad luck of you for that one. Just saying. (just kidding)
