Hacking Possible to play online with FW 5.3.2?

Hi, just switched on my Wii U after a long while and I have N's update servers blocked via my router. I don't want to update.

Question is, is it not possible to play online without updating? I keep getting an update nag when I try play Black Ops II online, for eg. It won't let me now :/

Yes you can spoof your firmware to go online for the time being but it won't be the be all and end all to your problem because as new firmware is released it may stop the ability to spoof the firmware.
