hmm , is he running the games using the old super card DS2 ?

how fast is those game running ? 60 FPS ?

Nobody has confirmed it's a direct clone of gateway

The team said it itself, with a huge picture of a card saying "GATEWAY" on it.
I think we can be fairly sure that it will be a gateway clone - at least on the 3DS side.

He's using the new card (DSTwo+), the gba and ds games runs fine, can't tell about the SNES emulation, it looks laggy, definitely less than 30fps

you right ,
anyone want to play SNES or GBA should use retroarch on N3DS

Wait, 3DS games and DS games in same card? Gateway plug-in? I'm really curious about this!

Man that sucks it uses gateway support. I was looking forward to supercard only 3ds support now I'm completely turned off to this card just another clone:sad:

But really I would like to give a word of warning to anyone looking to buy this that gateway does not not like clones and this looks to be a 1:1 clone at that. Bricking could happen so be careful

It may work on 9.2+ firmwares, which is not possible with Gateway (I don't own a gateway so I don't really know). As long as it works on newer firmware, it doesn't matter if it's a clone. And by the way many people asked a supercard admin about firmware compatibility, he hasn't replied yet

Well, I for one am interested in it. My DSTwo is falling apart, and my husband and I are sharing a single Gateway card...
I'll wait to see if there are any bricking reports before I buy, though.

Yeah, that's the key, on the Gateway side. I would assume it's a combination DSTWO and Gateway in one card, rather than futzing around with 2. Meh, ragardless, I'll still buy it!

Well, that settles it. I was hoping it was something more than just a straight Gateway clone using the same launcher.dat and everything but it seems that's exactly what it is (although with DS support)
I hope they cooperated with Gateway on this and didn't just decide to make use of all of Gateway's exploits and code without their consent, because I can't imagine Gateway would take it very well if they did that. They might even leave the scene and it doesn't seem like SC has the skills to make their own 3DS code/exploits so if Gateway leaves we'll probably be SOL when it comes to new kernel exploits.

Hopefully, they made an agreement that SC could use Gateway's code, as long as SC gives Gateway part of the profit and Gateway continues providing updates and support for the 3DS-side of things. In an ideal world that would be the case, but sadly we don't live in such a world so I'm not sure what will happen.

And just to add to that, I just got an email from gateway confirming that the DSTwo Plus is a clone and is NOT in any way affiliated or have a deal with Gateway.
They said that with the next big update coming which will bring cheats support, they can't guarantee that the DSTwo will be compatible with the updates and may cause issues or even the 3ds to lock/brick.
So that answers that question :P

EDIT: SS of email to confirm:

Unfortunately, it seems that there's no agreement...

Well shit, they basically just outright admitted that there is still brick code in their launcher.
SC are probably smart enough that they will have made a perfect clone that is indistinguishable from the real Gateway cartridge but all of this makes me wary. I'm going to wait and see what happens, I already have a Gateway and a DSTWO so the new cartridge isn't that important, but if I could keep everything on one cart and just permanently leave it in the 3DS that would be kind of neat. Not neat enough to risk a brick though.

Kinda off-topic, but why does Gateway seem to respond to everyone else but me? I've emailed them several times about questions and they haven't responded, but they seem to respond to other people who ask similar questions.
Edit: I'm going to try emailing SuperCard instead and see what they have to say about this, maybe their side of the story is different. It would at least be interesting to hear if they will reveal any more information about how this Gateway emulation works.

I have a Gateway, but I'd buy this if you could load DSi roms (incl. converted-to-ROM DSiWare titles) in DSi mode.

I'm hoping they have some sort of trick up their sleeves, that right before release they'll show 9.3+ support.

Ssshhh, let me dream
