I'm just skeptical when someone opens a thread of a 3DS project with nothing released yet.

I think you should learn the basics of software development and source control in general before you take on something like this.

Based on your posts you don't seem to be particularly knowledgeable with either, so that's probably where you should start. One you're done with that you should check out 3Dbrew to get a proper understanding of the system internals.

That said, most 3DS libraries like ctrulib are written in C, not C++.

Thats why it called a WIP (Work In Progress) Not a Release ( When the software is released)

WIP threads in my opinion should be done when a project is in an early stage but developed, not when you're planning to do it someday

Sure, this is a good project for beginners... but it's not a particularly interesting or fun game (the original wasn't either)
Geometry Dash was a lot of fun on Android so if you could make a game similar to it after you're done with this then you should

Different guy though. I wouldn't mind more than one Geometry Dash game on 3DS to be honest, as long as they have different levels. And that one is still nothing more than an engine.
