Homebrew How do I launch the Gateway menu on a New 3DS without the Gateway cartridge?

So I know I've done this before at some point when I've been playing around with CFWs on my New 3DS. I know somehow you can access the gateway menu without actually having a gateway cartridge on the New 3DS. I want this feature because i'm setting up an Emunand on my New 3DS. I just can't recall how I did this before, if anyone could let me know, I'd really appreciate it.

To get to the gateway menu, it never needed the GW red card. For N3DS models, you can either access it by the CN or OoT cartridge. Or if you already downgraded the Mset then use the DS profile to access it. GW red card is only used to enter GW or Classic mode.

K, I have Cubic Ninja, what do I need to access the menu, as in what specific file do I need and where do I place it? Is it just a .3dsx file? If so can you point me to it? I know I don't need the cartridge, hence why I'm asking how this is done, as I recall I did it before.
