You say your algorithm made them incompatible with DiscU, does that mean it worked differently than Exzap's program does? He claims his program allows them to still be compatible, so I'd assume it's different, but I'd still like to be sure before I go around compressing my WUD folder.
Unless Exzap's program includes a windows disk driver or an alternative to DiscU, a WUD will have to be decompressed before it can be extracted.

Glorious. I wish I had more space.

most of the drives i use in my servers come from pcs i find or are given. i did buy some of the large drives. just got a 1 tb for $10. love flea markets. For space i suggest making a NAS (Network Attached Storage). You can use any old Computer as far back as Pentium pros machines. My NAS is a old Celeron 1.3GHz with 192 MB Ram. B-) I use FreeNas v 7 (based off of FreeBSD) to run mine. The compression for WUDs is a good idea since its a bluray 23.3 gb image. Its still gonna be a pain archiving them.

Hopefully backup loaders can support it. This MK8 WUD would be for nothing.
Yes, backup loaders could easily support either of these compression algorithms. I actually like Exzap's a little more than mine. If I do add one to Uwizard, it'll be his. :)

There is no software present now that can play wii u ISOs (on wii u or emulator) and there might not be for a long time or ever....wait even the 3ds has no working emulator

The teams try to decrypt the IOSUs. After this goal the Dolphin Team tries to make an emulator (I hope the Dolphin Team >> experience.

Best regards
