Bumping this as is related to the last messages...... how do you update the emunand to 9.5.0-23? Are there any benefits?
Can you use the eshop? And how does the version spoofing work in gateway?

Thanks!
You'll need to find the update files for your region on "some iso site." After downloading them install them all to your emuNAND with the cia installer of your choice (DevMenu, BigBlueMenu, FBI). Updating the emuNAND will allow you to play some games that have that have a higher firmware requirement. To spoof and access the eShop use Free Multi Patcher. I believe Gateway's spoofing only stops the update prompt on roms, but somebody can correct me on this if I'm wrong.

So I have a 2DS currently on firmware version 9.2 and I would like to know if could buy a second SD card so I can everything what is in the main SD current on the secondary sc card. So I would have one SD Card with an older firmware and one SD Card with the current firmware.
Would this work? If not, is there a way to get it work? Like something with having two sd cards

Hey there guys. Just bought myself a 3DS Link card (yeah yeah I know..Gateway, Gateway but just didn't have the heart to pay double for it right now) and I was wondering if anyone is with the latest firmware V4.0b2 and if it is OK to use and also which games are playable? Thank you for the replies.

Question: I have both a digital copy and physical copy of Super Mario 3D Land. Is it possible to transfer my digital save to my physical cartridge?(What homebrew apps can be used for this?) I haven't been able to check if there is any apps in the starter pack but if someone can help out I'd appreciate it. ^_^

You can't update the system's firmware itself and just switch memory cards because the firmware stays on your 2DS and not on the SD card.

You have to create emunand, this is a copy of your firmware that is installed on your SD, so you can upsate emunand to latest firmware (10.1 as of now) to play online, visit eshop, play new games, etc... But your 2DS itself will still be in 9.2.

Um, isn't it supposed to say RX3D in system settings while on emuNAND? I just installed everything but mine says RX-E. Is something wrong? 2DS with 8.1 firmware here.

So if it says RX-E in front of the firmware version it means I've done everything right and it's safe to update, right?
I do believe that is indeed correct. But always make sure you have a sysNAND backup on an exploitable firmware, so you can flash it back in case something goes wrong.

I have a sysNAND backup of my system running firmware 8.1 so I think I'm safe.

You do know that product isn't supported anymore and that the last update for it was in 2014, right?
It won't support anything recent.

If you're on 9.2 or below, you could have simply chosen to use a CFW instead if you didn't want to spend money on Gateway.

I know that DSTwo has its own SNES emulator (CatSFC), but does the RetroArch emulator (which is said to run SNES games perfectly, 60FPS with sound and whatnot, only on New 3DS, and I read that it's based on CatSFC/Snes9x) work on a DSTwo card?

Okay questions keep popping up. I set up an internet connection in emuNAND and it somehow appeared in sysNAND as well. Deleted it from sysNAND and it's still there in emuNAND (which is good, I suppose). My question is why did it appear in sysNAND to begin with?

NANDs are unlinked.

Also can someone else confirm that it's safe to update when it says RX-E in settings instead of Ver.? In most tutorials it says that it should show as RX3D.

RX-E and RX-S were used in older versions of rxTools, this was changed to RX3D for emunand and the regular "ver x.x" for system nand on later releases, you should update to rxTools 2.6 or 3.0 beta 8.

But it should be fine since is just the display message.

I downloaded this file "rxTools_09-18-15_01-10.3b70ee8.zip"
Isn't this version supposed to be the latest?

Hello. I need some help. So I have a game cartridge of Super Mario 3d Land, and it is in a bad condition. I copied the rom with Gateway and the save. Then I converted the rom to CIA and installed it. Now if it would be possible I would like to use the save on the CIA version. Thanks
