To be honest, I'm not that surprised that a PS1 emulator with dynarec could run better than an SNES emulator that doesn't use that. Even if the SNES emulator did use one, I think the PS1 may have an advantage with rendering, since it doesn't have to deal with scanline alterations that an SNES emulator has to deal with.

1/4 fps on o3ds
3/4~fullspeed on n3ds

Isn't that with no dynarec?

There's no public psx core without dynarec (3dsx)

The Gambatte core works wonderfully on the N3DS. I'm running a few demoscene ROMs that usually choke on weak devices and I've not seen any FPS drops so far (no frameskip, fast forward, or any of that trickery needed). Very nicely done. The only thing I notice is that sometimes the audio pops a bit, but if I recall, CSND has random pops, so I can't really blame Gambatte for that.
That'll be fixed at some point, when DRC gets implemented. It's related o Vsync. If you have Audio Sync on, you fps will float between 58 - 60, and when it falls to 58 you get audio pop/skipping.

PSX emulator does not work for me, i have n3ds with cakes CFW emunand 9.5, i have installed CIA file and copi bios into sdmc:/retroarch/cores/system but when i whant to play FF8 Pal i have juste black screen, why?

How does disc swapping work with using the PS1 emulator? Do I have to do anything fancy or do I just have to save @ the end of disc 1 and then switch to disc 2?

I dont think Change Disk works. There is a Option to Switch Disks, but it locks up after "RetroArch [Info] :: Closed virtual disk tray"

Damn. I didn't realize PCSX was CIA only :'(

Hopefully there will be a solid 3DSX version at some point down the line

The main point of MSU1 is the expanded storage space. The ablity to use FMV and CD-quality audio is simply something that the additional storage grants.

The key thing is that it all works on real Snes hardware. The music in the above video works on a real Snes, provided you use a MSU1-compatible card such as SD2Snes.

I know, I'm just saying this particular game doesn't really benefit from it. FF6 with the orchestral soundtrack is nice but this one doesn't do it for me.
