@crediar confirmed that the game would need the ticket to be launched.
Actually, if you already bought the disc, this won't be illegal.

@crediar, will thr game require the ticket if you already launched the game from disc earlier?
I've already thought of all that. I had bought a ton of games in the past and knocked them on to my brothers kids because there small and inoccent but I thought maybe if you had bought the game and downloaded updates etc.. to your wiiu nand then the ticket should be there but GQ says that maybe the tickets from an eshop download are different than the disc versions :(

Edit: but then again on another note, not been confirmed yet, only really speculation! :)

There's no maybe - They are different. eShop installs a ticket encrypted in some way/fashion that is tied to your specific console ID (serial number, MAC address, something) while game discs have a ticket already installed on them, it's likely the same per disc, or each disc also has it's own ID.

What I'm wondering is that I read installing these updates is permanent. Aren't any of you concerned what would happen if another update comes out, if you will run into issues installing it? I know typically Ninty installs update files over-top of existing, but if this method can't remove files, what's to say future updates won't have an issue?

I'm going to just grab some popcorn after release and see what happens while I wait for Loadiine to release.

So, how can we decrypt/re-encrypt .app and .h3 files?
Thats what I would like to find out and I'm sure it could be done :)

Yeah but like I said only speculation, Crediar himself has mentioned nothing of the sort in fact he said in his document you can get official from the NUS Grabber :)
What can it do?
This hack allows you to install any valid NUS content from an SD card, including game updates.
The easiest way to obtain those is directly from Nintendo's NUS (see tools).

Found it. :P
You can use uwizard if you have title.tik and title.tmd. You'll have to remove .app from the filenames, and rename title.tik to cetk, and title.tmd to tmd. Crediars CDecrypt I think is the other one (also there is Disc U), but I haven't used those.

The FAQ actually says that while the installation is permanent, game updates can be uninstalled normally, and there's as much risk as installing an update directly from the eShop.
If I had to guess, I would think the permanent part is perhaps installing the version.bin. I guess we'll just have to wait and see though.

What are the risks?
This hack installs content to your NAND using the official Nintendo update functions.
This installation is PERMANENT and can currently not be reverted, game updates can be uninstalled.
The risk is the same as installing an update normally.

Ah, I missread that then. I thought it said updates CANNOT be uninstalled. Carry on. :grog:

You can sign into NNID on 5.3.2? Every boot, I receive a prompt telling me to update before I can sign into NNID, and therefor can't play MK8 online :(

I could when I last used my Wii U around 2 weeks ago, it always moaned about an update, however as i blocked the required IP addresses it would fail to download and let me continue and play the game without updating.

I'll have to try when i'm home tonight and see if anything has changed. Hopefully not, I have a few days off work later this week and was hoping to play some Mario Kart online.

Actually, if you already bought the disc, this won't be illegal.

If you bought the game, it is still illegal to distribute copies of it with keys. Lol. Also, the truth is, you only own/bought a right to play the data on the disc. That's mean you have no right to play the NUS version. That's what those little fine prints you don't read say, and they are legally binding. :)

Whether anyone cares or not is a completely different question.

The system title is permanent in a sense that you cannot downgrade titles but you can upgrade. This means that updating the version title to 5.6 or whatever comes next will work but you can't go back to let's say 5.3.2.
If the libraries aren't updated you could spoof to upcoming versions just like 5.5.0 and all the games would work.

Edit: I'm not quite sure if the title can be removed and then reinstalled, but there is absolutely no reason to anyway and not worth the risk since everything works flawless.

Edit 2: Got Super Mario Maker which requires 5.4.0 today and tested it with the spoof and it works perfectly after installing the update. crediar already tweeted about it. Gonna have some fun building and playing levels. We just need to get the kinks worked out and polish it a little bit more. Release is right around the corner. And yes, I am aware that Gateway used the same phrase, but it really is soon. Oh shit, I guess Gateway said that as well. But yeah you get the point.

Eventually we will need some sort of emunand / hacked system update solution once games use new libraries i'd imagine. However for the time been this will be a great solution.

The hype is real. Great work guys, I think I speak for all Tempers with that!

Does that mean Nintendo won't be able to stop us(without banning us) from cheating online anymore? HORII SHITTO! :ohnoes:

@DarkKaine I have a feeling removing the title for the version.bin would be just as bad as removing the system config file (I forget the actual name, it's been so long) on the Wii. In any case, like you said, can always just wait for 5.6 (or 5.5.3 or something even) then update if you want.

That being said, I wonder if it's possible to update manually if done in the right order. I imagine not, but just thinking anyway.

tbh i cant really see this lasting too long, especially with the look of people eagerly getting ready to "ch34t 4nd p4wn coz we are mad haxorz" blah blah blah, i would imagine any competitive games like MK8/splatoon will have a update drop very soon that blocks online play for people using the spoofer.....as long as the kids get 5mins of trolling i guess:rolleyes:

Also, crediar has apparently blocked me from his Twitter page even though I haven't talked to him in a year.

That's....odd, maybe make an alt Twitter and contact him to ask why? oO

It's inevitable, it was bound to happen (that is, online cheating, this is why we can't have nice things); I hope those who cheat get their IP addresses blacklisted from the game :creep:

I didn't read the whole thread, but not really sure where this came from. I agree that it's retarded to be waiting to cheat online like a douche though. Personally, I'm just waiting to see if I can brick my Wii U by messing with Tickets, whenever I can do that.

And I'm still waiting on whether or not Snes VC contains config files when you dump them from NUS :P
