I've learned one thing: the way people play the game is the way theyt are in real life. It tells me so much about a person just by how they play games.

tetris taught me to be a master at space manipulation in the real world. there's no closet, trunk, dish drying rack or grocery bag i can't bend to me own will

Not to let your children play them as they are all violent anymore and create sociapth losers!
I dunno the know how many so I am guesstimating that 85-90% of all games are gun driven, also around the same % for somekind of violent storylines.
Also that goes for music and movies!
No our kids were not groomed!

That the most important tool is your mind:

I've played alot of rpgs and this is the most common thing I think of whenever I lose on a boss I can't beat, I usually take a step back and think of what I can do differently, what resources, spells, techniques, etc. Will give me a chance at winning.

It became apparent to me that a little adjustment to approaching a certain part of a game that seems impossible, can go a long way, and the game that encourages this mindset the most from what I've played is Valkyrie Profile.

As alot of bosses and enemies in that game are damage sponges with alot of hp that do absurd damage, to the point you start to think it's intentional, as the game gives you lots of tools to play around this, it's how you decide to do it is what's important.

Near the end of Final Fantasy 8, you get to explore the rival school and you can grind levels hella fast on the ice rink, defeating the hockey players. Easy leveling. That will help you beat the game much easier.
