So this installer works exactly as if you were to download the game updates from the internet if your Wii U was on 5.5.0?

If yes, is the installer related to the firmware spoofer release? Because I'm having trouble understanding why it's needed if you can just download the updates on the Wii U when you spoof your firmware to the latest version.

Would this work with games that come with a system update? For example, could we buy Mario Maker right now and:
1. Stay on 5.3.2
2. Update it tot the latest firmware
I was wondering because; how could we update a game that we never actually played (so no tickets on the system) as it requires a system update? Or are the tickets already bound tot the NAND the moment we insert the disc?

....because eshop doesnt work, read the OP
The eShop implores additional checks and wants you to update your system first, there is currently no workaround (We are still looking into a solution).

Note that games that you already bought from the eShop but deleted still have the ticket on the NAND.
As such, if someone creates a piece of homebrew to dump these, you will be able to use these tickets to re-install games you already own given you have enough space on your SD card of course.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but here is my situation.
I've got a 5.3.2 wii u, updated it with disc.
Never connected to internet, awaiting for a spoofer that would allow me to get connected while staying in an exploitable state.

As it was always offline, with a ccproxy rule, i've never created a n online account (NNID ?).

Do you confirm that i should be able to play offline mario maker, with a download of the latest update, but that i'll be stuck to get online, as i won't have a online id to use ?

If so, is there a way that i could create a nnid elsewhere, and associate it with my wii u without the e-shop access ?

to install a file, it needs to be signed.
if you modify the file, the signature will fail. (and you probably need to decrypt/re-encrypt it too)

decrypting with Cdecrypt is probably possible.
I tried to decrypt version.bin but it gave me only the decrypted title key, it didn't decrypt the files. it's the first time I try CDecrypt so I don't know what it should output.

I managed to decrypt Version.bin using Crediar's modifed NUSgrabber to download the title and using:
title.tik -> cetk
title.tmd -> tmd

UWizard tool seems not to be able to correctly decrypt titles, at least the version.bin one.

Yes you can do that right now, like you my Wii U is on 5.3.2 updated by a Mario Kart 8 disc.

I can confirm I can sign in to an existing Nintendo Network account created on my 3DS and basically use all online functions except the Eshop. Of course the only game I can play online is Mario Kart 8 as the game had the 4.0 update on disc, which still appears to work online.

You can sign into NNID on 5.3.2? Every boot, I receive a prompt telling me to update before I can sign into NNID, and therefor can't play MK8 online :(

No, it will be possible to install updates and play online (if I understand correctly). It may be possible to install dumps of NUS games (such as Wind Waker HD) if someone uploads them somewhere with the title.cert title.tik and title.tmd, but that's to be seen. I'm not sure if games will require the ticket to be on the console already or not. All of that would be illegal, but I'm sure you know that much.
@crediar confirmed that the game would need the ticket to be launched.
Actually, if you already bought the disc, this won't be illegal.

@crediar, will thr game require the ticket if you already launched the game from disc earlier?

discs have their own "ticket" on the disc, to launch eshop titles you need a different ticket that you only get from buying the game via the eshop, this ticket is console/NNID specific so inb4 "can i get tickets off others" no

Is there anything else we can do?
