So I know there's been a lot of threads with information about dumping cartridges and whatnot, but I have a slightly different question.

So before I formatted the emunand on my O3DS, I had AA:dual destinies on my 3DS (that I haven't finished bcuz I'm a lazy fuck) and of course with the emunand and everything it got deleted. No problem, I go back to the eshop and download the game again, but my save data is of course gone.

I backed everything up before starting the whole process, so I was just wondering if there was a way to bring back the save file somehow.

(Sorry if it's a noob question, wasn't sure if it was worthy of its own thread)

I haven't, I just backed up my regular nand and everything on the SD card (why would I need to back up the emunand? o.O)

Well assuming you where playing as a cia file / downloaded version meaning the save is saved on emunand and without it you're sol.

If you had emunand you could always restore it and capture the save then put it back on the formatted o3ds

Oh no sorry if I worded it weird. I was playing the game before I even had emunand or anything like that, so the save would be on the sysnand. I just created the emunand recently which is what formatted everything.

Oh good I can help!

Basically setup emunand and then take out the sd card. Use emunand transfer tool and import your system nand backup. Now copy over the old contents of the sd card and launch into emunand

You should see the game with save intact and be able to extract with SDF. I have to run out and will help more when I get back but that's the general idea. PM me if you need help
