I know some people are just stuck in their ways, but what has Farage even gave them? Did he promise anything this round?

Clacton is an older, very white and deprived constituency. Farage has done well to present himself as an anti establishment figure.

It's a shame they what Farage stands for will make life worse for his constituents.

So if Farage wins, then the investigation into his bribery can continue and he'll be removed anyways?

Yes. The general assumption is there will be another Clacton by election later in the year. Apparently Reform thought by resigning, the investigation would have to be scrapped.

Very solid second with nearly 10k votes. A very respectable result from the Count.

Not impressed at Farage just ditching the by-election. The little bitch calls this dumb ass by-election and cries about being demeaned by nobodies and the plot to embarrass him.

Nah, Nigel, you've done that to yourself.

Well, I'm gonna shift over to the timeline where Binface won. He won so much there that they actually had to make him King of England, huge things are coming, he will not stop there. Byeeeee

Maybe you lot will get a second chance if they have to rerun the Clacton election after it turns out that trifling £5,000,000 gift was not trifling.

Also, Farage didn't show up for the election announcement. That makes sense, it was held in Clacton.

So...slightly under 30% of the votes if I calculate correctly. That's pretty impressive for someone who got 0.5% last election.

But ey...now I agree with @Dark_Ansem : it was fun while it lasted.

If I recall correctly, Binface is the first novelty candidate to a actually get his deposit back.

It is a remarkable performance that so many people prefer him over Farage.

Its interesting that the people of Clacton have voted in (again) a man who has done nothing for their town and shown no interest in doing anything for them, over a space warrior who has already done more for their town just by turning up to see the result.

People in general are just stupid.

They sure are, and the English a special breed of them.

Oh? In what way? What makes English different from other populations that vote people in to power who have shown no interest in supporting their community?
The english, unlike the scots, have a longstanding tradition of voting in not only the most horrible people but also of being on the wrong side of history. Case in point, the complete appeasement of Hitler until Poland was invaded. The PM somehow took all the blame but the truth is that the vast majority of the population was of the same idea.
More recent history; english voters have inflicted us with 15 years of tory misrule which, amongst the other things, allowed Brexit to happen.

Brah, your until recent deputy first minister believed gay people shouldn't have the right to get married.

That's not taking into account, Scotland having voted for a not insignificant number of Tory and Reform representative in recent times.

Being a twat isn't an exclusively English thing.

Due to Binface, a large portion of the world knows that Clackton exists, and that they have bad placement of hand driers.
