But does it run well on o3ds? I will test now actually and see how well it runs. First game to be tested will be earthbound of course. And i was thinking about making my own raspberry pi handheld for this purpose but no need anymore, since i have ironhax and retroarch (same emulators as retropie/retroarch on raspberry pi anyway)

Don't expect to much from the o3ds versions. They are not near perfect as on the n3ds..

The 15/9 built has great screen default with 1:1 ratio! However, I noticed that on genesis/megadrive all games has 256x224. The Megadrive games that uses 320x224 is scaled down to 256x224 too :p
This shouldn't be the case, I was testing this just yesterday and confirmed that Mega Drive/Genesis 1:1 PAR worked correctly, even for 240-line PAL games. Which setting are you using under aspect ratio? There should be one which gives an aspect ratio, then in parentheses, "1:1 PAR". This one should just detect the resolution the core is feeding it and adjust to match the title. The aspect ratio before the "1:1 PAR" will vary depending on what is running.

The only core which doesn't yet support this functionality from what aliaspider said is CatSFC, which is just hardcoded to 256*224 (Snes9x-Next functions as expected). A handful of games run 239 lines rather than 224, but it's few enough that generally you'd probably never even notice the issue.

WOW! Thanks! I had core provided. But 1:1 works perfectly :) Now I love this even more!

About snes resolution... There are quite a few games that use lower resolution than 256x224. At least ingame. Yoshis Island, Ranma, etc. But they played correctly.

Mega Turrican :)

All Genesis games with 320x224 feels like home now on the 3ds screen :)

@SLiV3R Great, glad I could help. Yeah, some SNES game do use lower resolutions in the practical sense, but they're essentially just filling in the rest up to 224 with black bars. The system is still displaying 224 lines, it's just that there's nothing in a lot of them, so RetroArch will look correct displaying them at 224 lines: it's just displaying all the blank lines as the original console would have.

can someone with a new 3DS on CFW test if this cia provides the same increased performance you get from a 3dsx file or not ?
genplusgx.zip
Tested and the scaling and side scrolling problem on the cia version is 100% fixed. I still have a little distortion on the 3dsx one. Maybe I need to update it. In terms of speed they seem to have the exact same speed. Not faster but not slower neither. 60 fps and quick little drops to 57fps that are not noticeable.

gpsp isn't saving game progress does anyone else have this issue ?
Megadrive/genesis runs great on my N3Ds XL (Love Bomberman ;) )
But how do i exit the game (back to emu menu to play another rom or exit back to HBL)?
Tap touch screen and go to Quit Retroarch.

never, the 3DS doesn't allow huge binaries, and scummvm is 40MB or so.
no idea about n3DS, but I tested it on o3DS and it just hangs, the same way any other huge binary does.
