Accept that 70+% of gbatemp users pirate. (This is a fact)
Yeah, I'm well aware of that, but thanks for pointing out the obvious...
I meant we don't talk about piracy here (i.e. "Here's a direct link to the Splatoon theme you wanted"). The most anyone does is refer to "'that' ISO site".

Most threads on here are discussing something related to piracy - what's not mentioned is the specifics of where to obtain pirated material.

Download from the shop for free? That's stealing, no different from taking something from a store without paying for it. Actually, that's exactly the same, except in this case both the store and the item are digital.

Download from somewhere else for free? That's piracy. We can't link here, but feel free to do it elsewhere. Google is your friend (although if you had to make a post, I'm guessing you didn't Google, or you didn't Google hard enough).

I can't speak for others here, but the only reason I'd ever try to acquire official themes for free is in the specific case of the many Japanese exclusive themes such as the SEGA Dreamcast one, which can't be purchased outside of Japan. One could of course argue to simply import a Japanese 3DS, but you can't honestly expect somebody to pay up to $200 for a theme. Especially since the only ways to apply custom themes makes the system region free, eliminating any other reason to import.

You just don't see 'em as they're removed...

Most threads on here are discussing something related to piracy - what's not mentioned is the specifics of where to obtain pirated material.

Do I have to be as specific as possible about every little aspect?
What people talk about is irrelevant; it is against the rules of the GBATemp forums to discuss where to obtain pirated content, as stated in the rules that I apparently need to quote word for word since neither of you can understand the concept of a "figure of speech":
"Warez" - ROMs, WADs & ISOs

"Warez" is an internet term used to describe copyrighted software, game, film, music and data piracy.
  • We DO NOT HOST or PROVIDE ROMs/WADs/ISOs; or link to websites that do contain ROMs/WADs/ISOs.
  • Members may NOT ASK and MAY NOT PROVIDE INFORMATION or LINKS for and to places that provide ROM, WAD, and ISO files.
  • Members may also NOT mention torrent or warez-containing sites or channels by name or otherwise.
  • We do not condone piracy in any way.
  • Please go elsewhere if you only wish to download or share illegal files. The GBAtemp Forums are for discussion ONLY.
These rules also apply to other "warez" too, not just ROM, WAD and ISO files; this includes (but is NOT limited to) - licensed and copyrighted software, code, movies, music, video games, magazines, comics, e-books, television shows, illegal torrents, etc. These rules also account for "keygens" and "cracks" including how to obtain, apply or install them.

Those are the most frequently broken rules, and are the most important. Failure to comply with these rules may result in an instant ban on your forum account. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse!
Is that specific enough for you?
But to answer OP's question once again: Yes, you can; it's just as easy as downloading/installing a fanmade theme. No, we will not point you in any direction without breaking the site's rules.
