It's very usefull! Thanks Dojo_Master.

But IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE SSL CERTIFICAT !
All password (when you register and login) is not crypted before going nowhere on Internet...
And do you crypt password into your database ? :/ Nobody can know and verify

If you need help to configure apache ou nginx with SSL send me a pm.

You can have a free one cert here: https://www.startssl.com/?lang=fr wihtou subdomains
or you can create one with the community CaCert (this one is not recognize by browsers by default... one day maybe!): http://www.cacert.org/

First of all, thanks for your concerns, we take security seriously on our site, and strive to protect our users information. Unfortunately, our sites dedicated server runs us up around $60 on a good month, and thats quite hard to run for free with minimal to no donations (This is why we have included a small banner ad on the footer of our site). We eventually plan on getting a nice SSL certificate for our site, to further strengthen our security, but we just can't get it right now. Secondly, our passwords are encrypted in our database, and not using and of the insecure stuff people tend to use on their sites, such as MD5, or SHA1 to name a couple, unfortunately, we can't provide actual proof of our encryptions, because that could give away what method we are using. Trust me, I would love to show you all the security measures we take, but that would actually render some of them less secure. So your just going to have to have good faith in us on the password one.

When we do get a certificate, if something goes wrong, I will be sure to contact you. I have also followed you so that we may stay in touch if needed.

Thanks,
Krypro

$60! My servers run on $5 per month....

Isn't that a bit overkill XD
I mean, it could be, but when we ran out of space on our VPS, (albeit it was only a 30GB VPS), the entire site stopped working, and everyone was going crazy. We literally got contacted on reddit, twitter, GBATemp and email total about 20 times at least. So we decided to bring out the big guns, ya know. XD

The guns are definitely big...

It dosen't have to be bcstm. You can surely allow user to upload .wav or .mp3 which is easier to implement with filesize limitation OR even intergrate external hosting ie. soundcloud OR even just allowing external link as a reference. whichever you see appropriate

as for SSL try and use StartSSL =). Its fairly easy to implement and free
