Exoplanet: First Contact. A Western Action RPG In Space.

A new Kickstarter has emerged for a game called Exoplanet: First Contact, a Single Player action RPG with western elements... set in space! Space Cowboys sounds pretty sweet huh?

Exoplanet is inspired by games, movies and fictional worlds that changed the team’s vision of the RPG experience. We mixed the best of TESIII: Morrowind, Gothic, Fallout with the Firefly TV-series and the Dune Universe. These are the main ingredients defining the look and feel of Exoplanet.
Exoplanet: First Contact is a mix of an RPG and an action game. The player will decide how the story will unfold as he makes choices during the game that will affect the outcome.

There’s also a serious amount of action, with classic gun-slinging with futuristic weapons. You have access to a wide range of guns allowing you to snipe targets at long range, or take out targets in mid to short range with assault rifles or shotguns. There’s even a set of melee weapons when you want to get close and personal.

You can read more, and back Exoplanet, on their official Kickstarter page here.
It has 28 days to go, and a $45,000 goal. The project looks very ambitious and it could be an incredibly title should it get backed.

...seriously? K'tharsis? Is @Gahars developing this game?

The game looks rather interesting. ARPG? Check. Sci-fi? Check. Controlling venomous insects? Check. I'll definitely keep an eye out the Kickstarter, but the chances of me actually backing it are slim. I'm still waiting on Star Citizen.

This will need to smash it's goal to be any good I reckon, I could be wrong and I haven't done my research on the project. Conceptually fantastic, there's not enough decent sci-fi RPGs around but I can see it being a broken, generic buggy mess for that money.

If you guys have been bothered to check the Kickstarter page you would notice that this money is needed to enter early access stage of development. They're asking for a little push not to fund the entire project.
This game has been in development for quite some time. I remember supporting it on Steam Greenlight a half year ago.
