Hi guys,

Today I got ReiNand 2.0 up and running on my N3DS (EUR).

Specs:
- Firmware 9.0.0-20E
- Method running ReiNand MSET
- Emunand created with Gateway

I have first deleted and then installed the patched N3DS_AGB_FIRM using FBI and selected NAND as destination.

After that I installed two GBA games (USA and EUR) using BigBlueManager on my Emunand. When I start the games, I get the black error screen that tells me to hold power button to restart 3DS.
I have also tried to install the games using FBI on my emunand without any luck.

Could someone please tell me what I am missing and why its not working?

Thank u all in advance.

Games have to be installed on the sysNAND as well if nands are unlinked.

Thanks for your reply :)

I have also tried that.
When I install game on sysnand (using FBI), the game does not appear on my sysnand when I boot the 3DS, it will only show up in emunand and gives me the same error.

Update:

Yesterday I re-reformatted my Emunand using gateway (so that the emunand and sysnands where linked).
I installed Pokemon firered cia on Emunand + Sysnand and it worked! But because I got the annoying "unwrap gift" issue, I decided to unlink my emunand from sysnand.
After that I try to run pokemon and again black error screen.

So my nands must be linked otherwisers I can't play GBA games using ReiNand?
In that case, is there any other way to get rid of the unwrap gift issue?

My setup with Rxtools (Which is pretty much the same):
1. Uninstalled/installed AGB_Firm on sysnand, installed all GBA games on sysnand
2. Uninstalled/Installed AGB_Firm on emunand, installed all GBA games on emunand
Now you can launch the GBA games on emunand and they will play.

This was done twice on two different 3DS, each time with unlinked nands. (I NEVER use linked nands for any reason, I never had a reason to ever go back to that)

That's my setup where it works every time. Together, all the games take up 600-700 MB when installed to both nands. Which is pretty much like one 3DS game.

Sorry to hijack but I have a quick question. But first I'd like to help because I went through the same thing yesterday.

I couldn't get GBA games working on Sysnand. I installed the agb_firm with FBI via Cubic NInja and Ninjhax. No dice. Then I deleted the agb and reinstalled it with bigbluemenu and voila it works! Try that Op maybe it will work for you. Just remember gba games must be installed on sysnand AND in emunand to boot via reinand.

Now on to my question. I installed Pokemon Fire Red and I'm getting the 1m circuit board error and it will not save. Did I download a bad cia? Is there a way around this. Thanks. Good luck Op.

Thanks for your reply. I will restore my NAND and start all over, this time following your instructions :)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I will give this also a try.

I got the same error on Pokemon FireRed. I "THINK" this error has something to do with battery. Original GBA cartridges have battery inside them.

This is a well known error. In the past this error could be fixed by changing the save type in the emulator.
