Hacking Official [Source Release] ReiNand CFW

Could I really push my luck, and ask that you consider either disabling firmlaunch in SysNAND, or perhaps adding a toggle for it? I was really excited to use this as it meant I'd be able to boot Ninjhax properly, but after formatting a new 9.2.0 EmuNAND on another microSD card, I forgot to check if firmlaunch is implemented, meaning I'm still unable to boot most homebrew.

Completely my fault, I know, but if you'd consider it, you'd be greatly helping out people who don't own CN/Sky 3DS .

I'm confused.. how does firmlaunch effect homebrew? Anyways for sysnand, im gonna try to parse the firm0 off nand and use that for firm-launch to avoid bricks from updating.

From my understanding, it's the same issue that Gateway suffers when using Cubic Ninja for homebrew. From what I've been told, firmlaunch is the cause of lots of homebrew such as Decrypt9 and other CFWs from booting, as it messes with the firmware detection.

As it is at the moment, I can boot Ninjhax and see the homebrew apps there, but running most of them results in me being kicked back to the homebrew browser.

Well it's kinda hard to have a cfw without firmlaunch.. thats why im gonna parse the one on the system so theres no way the detection can fuck up

Got the mset now working for my euro N3DS, but successful launch rate is only about 70%. But this was also the case when i used GW's rop to launch their loader. Maybe my N3DS is cursed.

I installed 3 cia's so far: bigbluemenu, 3D Outrun and Star Fox 64. Star Fox get's imported successfully, but the game dosen't show up in sys and emunand. Outrun works, but both, Outrun and Bigbluemenu always appear in gift boxes when i boot in emunand, any way to fix this?

It's totally fine. Loading GW Launcher sometime causes black screen as well as ReiNAND. I haven't tried to install any game using ReiNAND yet but all my installed games have loaded smoothly.

Yup.. i also got 2 O3DS, and they also crash to 30% when launching GW Mode... i was always wondering if this only happens to me, cause some people were speaking of a 99% success rate with GW

OutRUn is 3DS Ware, only 12 MB big. Star Fox has over 600 MB. I installed BigBueMenu with the GW card, and then installed the 2 games with the BBM from Reinand emunand. Star Fox also shows up in the system settings under 3DS Software... but there is no icon to start it

Make sure you unlink the both NANDs by formatting one of theme. Be careful, do not format sysnand with downgraded mset. Your N3ds will be "bricked".

It just wipes the Mset & you have to reinstall. o_o

I won't wipe the Mset but brick the system. It's a soft-brick which can be recovered but latest firmware.

Whoa... this is new. Just started my N3DS again, i changed really nothing, bootet into rei emunand successful.. and... BigBlueMenu and Outrun were gone. I entered system settings to make sure i'am in rei emunand - i was - and the software also disappared under "3DS Software"-Tab. WHY?

Have you tried by yourself? I won't take that risk. Restore mset just a minute but bricking the system can count by money.

Nope, haven't had a reason to format my Sysnand.
I'm wondering though, do you have a source confirming a brick after formatting in Sysnand?

There are other methods of course, you can format the Emunand, but you'll lose any cia installer, and if you don't have a flashcart then going by the above would mean you're screwed.

But hell, if you really wanted to confirm, install mset to Emunand then format it with emunands SysSettings.

Ninjhax 1.1 homebrew, of which some apps are exclusive to, wont run on a system where there is a spoofed NATIVE_FIRM higher than 9.2. Whatever you can do to provide the option to have fully running Ninjhax 1.1 homebrew (That is, no FirmLaunch, and running on sysNAND preferably) is going to be very much appreciated by every N3ds Gateway user who can't get that stupid Cubic Ninja card.
