No rush on ordering but it should be here before the end of Saturday, unless DHL doesn't do weekends. Then it'll be the coming Monday. Edit: I forgot to mention that I only ship in the US. Just thought about your flag so I don't want to mislead you.

Yeah, nothing's really stopping anyone from developing such a method. Heck, someone probably did it already but haven't said or released anything because of the potential backlash from Protendo.
It's ok.
Btw, what's the sit on Axiogame? I've got loads of people not satisfied with them. Can I srsly order from them?

Dunno, seems like they do half of their work via third party which causes confusion and non-delivery. They are legit but their service is lacking.

Now I've got three choices: Nh-game, which req. an alipay acc and shipping paid seperately and costs $79++, 3dsgamerworld which has free shipping and likely more reliable, but costs $85, and finally Axiogaming, which costs $74.99 with free shipping but with questionable shipping.

It's not cheap, but it can fit every current and future amiibo on it. It might be worth it depending on how future games use amiibos as right now they're just an optional gimmick. If a game comes out that uses amiibos heavily this might be worth the asking price.

There is going to be. Animal Crossing Amiibo Party. Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer.

Mario Party 10 has crap locked more or less without buying a lot of amiibos.

Quick note! Amii (to make it easier to tell between the manufactourer and product) has realized there was a bug in their software that causes the Amiiqo to not be readable on the Wii U. They plan to release an update within a day or so.

Yeah, buying soo many damn McDonald's toys is suffering, even more than being a magical girl.

Couldn't care less about the Animal Crossing spinoffs tbh. Mario Party is a good example but it's not worth it just for one game, and I stopped buying Mario Party games after they changed them too much.

Really excited about this. I collect Amiibo's but I don't take them out of the box, something like this would be perfect for me.

It's like a flashcart for Amiibos :D

Should surely be doable with software and a cheap usb nfc dongle on a computer for a fraction of the price...
Yes, you could do the same with your mentioned items but the crap thing is, that most usb NFC dongles/reader/writers are already half the price of the amiiqo sitting at $30 and up, discounting shipping. It could be cheaper but not by much since they still would want to make some type of profit from providing the dongle and working on the app. :L

Yeah, I don't have an NFC capable phone. I thought my Galaxy Nexus would work, but apparently it doesn't want to charge anymore, and the screen flickers when I try to turn it on.

Any recommendations for a cheap NFC phone that would work with the software (used on ebay or maybe a brand new prepaid)

Alternatively, trying to figure out a cheap NFC USB dongle that would work with BlueStacks or something similar.

NTAG215 is an universal NFC tag that should be readable with any NFC enabled phone. Link should help you a little but generally, whatever you get should be able to read it with no problem. If anything I believe that certain, of many, versions of Android might screw you over. Namely most of the older firmwares than Jellybean (<4.1)

Update~! A user, by the name of darkdreamr, I was discussing with decided to dump his Amiibo collection! My public collection is now v1.00. Super Mario Bros, Splatoon, Yoshi Wooly World, all released Super Smash Bros to date, and some of the HHD cards are in it~

is it possible to write to the actual amiibo? if so, this will be made obsolete eventually
The amiibo are locked to the character they are by having that information in unwritable memory.

You can give your character power-ups and stuff(I think I read on /r/amiibros), but never be able to convert yoshi to batman.
