I've read somewhere where Smea will give the 3ds community 2 additional entry points for homebrew, one is obviously OOThax. Freehax might be the one without paid requirements. (ironhax might just be the persistent hack that works in conjunction with Cubic Ninja)

somebody before had the good explantion that freehax was used before because he didn't want to reveal the game.
I almost promise the hack will be: install a hacked save with CN/OOT once. run ninjhax 2.x with hacked ironfall save thereafter.

Ironfall saves can be accessed on the sd card itself right? Then there's reason for people who doesn't have CN or oot to hype over this thing

"Accessed" you need a hack to do this because they're per-console encrypted. That's where Cubic Ninja comes in.

Still haven't updated from my 9.5.0-22U, is Ironfall still there on the eShop? Has Smea surfaced any truths about needing a physical Cubic Ninja OR Ocarina of Time + Savedongle?

Also, since Ironfall is a free game, can't it be shared as a file to copy over to anyone's SD card? Does it need to be "installed" through the eShop in order to show up in 3DS's home menu? It would be a given if I could, in fact, have Ironfall on my card without the need to update into 9.9 in order to be able to access the eShop =/

Ironfall and the update (if you want) is still in the eshop. Don't believe everything you see here as it is still all in speculation.
