Hacking New 3DS online

Hi guys, I have a New3DS 9.0 with gateway and I wanna play on line. I have some doubts about online and updates:

1) How avoid to update my system?
2) My system is EUR and my gamez are US. To apply patches and updates I just need the patches and updates .cia with the same region os my games? Or everything must have same region as the console?
3) Which games I can use to update my emunand to the highest safe possible?

1. Leave no connection settings in your sysnand settings, keeping only emunand with connection settings.

2. Gateway is region free, region does not matter. You just would need a US DLC/update cia for the US version of the game.

3. You can use Xenoblade Chronicles or Code Name Steam (USA) to update to 9.4. But if you wanted to update to 9.5 you can use sysupdater.

Edit: SYsupdater is an homebrew app used to install update cia's.

1. System updates will download automatically if you have wifi turned on long enough, but they won't install automatically, so just cancel whenever it asks you install the new update.
2. Yes, you can install updates as cia from other regions, emunand is region free.
3. Not sure, but someone here will know.

To get game updates use this https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-free-multi-patcher.391945/ to connect to the eShop and no you wont have to update your firmware, playing online does not require you to update your 3DS

One more question, after choosing Code Name: Steam the game will update my emunand automatcally? Because I played Xenoblade and nothing happened...
