Someone messaged me the problem, although it hasn't happened to me so I can't say if it is really the case:

The person tried installing a DLC .cia, but FBI said that it was already installed and gave the option to overwrite. The person says that he is sure that he never installed the DLC before, so I'm wondering if it's a bug due to how the Unique ID of a game is the same as its DLC and patches.
What is it DLC for? It checks by title ID, and as far as I know, title IDs are unique between titles.

Is a resume if failed option possible for installing over sockfile/network? I sometimes get the size mismatch error when installing over network and then i have to restart from zero :/

@Steveice10, Feature Request: Add the option to only install the ticket if a CIA is already installed and maybe an option to skip if a CIA is already installed during a multiple CIA install. The reason is that sometimes I have a CIA installed to my SD card but the ticket is not properly installed and I don't need to completely re-install the game or app just the ticket. One example would be Linked Nands.

Wouldn't it just "fail" to install the duplicate CIA but the tickets are still added?

For example: I install CIAs to sysNAND, they don't show on my linked emuNAND and I need to unwrap when I boot into sysNAND again. So I boot into emuNAND and install the CIA(s), but they all fail. Now when you go back to emuNAND they show up and you are no longer required to unwrap them each boot.
I did a multi-install with the Ambassador GBA games and when it encounters a failed install I can just continue. Now I have them in both NANDs.

Not on the newer version of FBI. The tickets are only installed if you overwrite the CIA which then re-installs the WHOLE CIA. As a result I am forced to use 2 versions. 1.3.8 AND 1.4.2 as I need both.

huh. I didn't know that. (I just noticed that my sysNAND's FBI is 1.3.8 still. Time to update, I guess)
People were complaining about the "Already Installed Error" They wanted to overwrite a CIA if a newer version was already installed (ex: Downgrading system apps like the DS Whitelist and Internet Browser) without having to uninstall the new one first. This also prevents uninstalling the WRONG CIA. It's also easier to overwrite (In a programming sense) then it is to try to find out the Human Readable title for installed software.

I knew it could overwrite (for downgrading titles) but it never occurred to me that it would mess with adding just the tickets. I have 1.4.2 for emuNAND and ninjhax, only not for sysNAND which is where I most recently used the failed install/add tickets trick.

I hope that a ticket only option is added. Not that I mind reinstalling whole CIAs but I would like to not wait ages if I can help it.

Severe problem for iQue(CN) users.
They have no option to fix the 'dbs' in System Settings.
Wonder how could they install CIAs?
If they have to use DevMenu, orz.

What do you mean? We CN users have no problems installing via FBI :/ The "db" error is fixed my making a blank title.db on the SD card then fixing it with Data Management.

Sorry i mean China Region (iQue) Consoles, not CubicNinja.
I've been told there is no way for them to fix it in System Settings.

Reactions: WhoAmI?
None of these errors make any since at all. I currently get install failed! errors from the same source files that installed a few days ago before getting a new card. I hear people say things like you need something to pass signature check, well I even installed ReiNAND and ran FBI through that and I get the same errors. I am getting errors on so called legit CIas like Super Mario 3D as well old favs like Kid Icarus.

My newest error

Install failed!
Could not install app.
Raw Error: 0xc8e08001
Module: MODULE_NN_AM (0x20)
Level: LEVEL_STATUS (0x19)
Summary: SUMMARY_INVALID ARGUMENT (0x7)
Description: <unknown> (0x1)

Now I got that error trying to install kid icarus from NInjahax > FBI
FW 9.2
FBI v1.4.2
Pasta 1.3

Can anyone tell me what that error even means?

Got the same error! where did you buy your sd card? Is it original? Did you solve it?

My card I got from an overseas vendor, its a knockoff lol. I made a mistake and updated to 9.9 so Monday I am ordering a SKYDS. I wasted about a week trying to get things installed the non-gateway/skyds way.

Is there any imcompatibility issue with 64GB sd cards? i installed some eshop games that i had on emunand, even one or two cias before having different errors for every cia i try to install... But, like the friend above, my sd card was also overseas, so maybe we have a low quality product and it's bugging the fbi? i dont know. Thoughts?
