I have booted into gwNAND several times now (using red card like always) and tried to use BBM to install the bluecardfix.cia and every time it reads as "invalid .cia file".

I put the R4i files onto the BlueCard mSD (FAT32) along with a .NDS ROM (all on root).

I also put the bluecardfix.cia onto my system SD.

I can find it, but always prompts about being invalid.

I am using Ultra 3.3 on sysNAND 9.2 and emuNAND 9.9.

All mSDs are FAT32.

What am I doing wrong?

Not N3DSXL. I am on O3DSXL.

Must I put the bluecardfix.cia onto the red card?

I tried using the Blue Card from GW Menu but it just prompts for Red one instead.

I'm just tired of having to boot out of GW mode to launch .NDS games on DStwo.

Not really crucial, but a friend of mine loves his Mario 64 and I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Must I boot into classic mode? I know my Sky3DS won't work in GW mode, but it does in classic, but then all my emuNAND .CIA games don't work.... which is the whole point of classic mode, right?

So then why won't Blue Card work?

*sighs*

Had to find the Devmenu.3ds file for the Red Card on the Gateway site.

Then had to bring up GW Menu.

Then had to hold (B) and boot into GW sysNAND Mode.

Then had to hit select which brought up Devmenu in Red Card menu.

Installed bluecardfix.cia from Devmenu in GW sysNAND mode.

Rebooted.

Popped in Blue Card and it worked.

So.... yeah. Apparently Blue Card doesn't work in GW Mode or GW Classic Mode.

At least it works now.

Now I'm going back to the DSTwo...

Oh, and another thing, Sky3DS won't work in GW Mode but will work in GW Classic Mode. Of course it also works in sysNAND, but I need emuNAND updates.

This constant rebooting is getting tiring. I can only imagine the pain the N3DSXL users must go through...

We dont because we just install cubic ninja CIA's and use pasta cfw to launch them from sysnand. the normal cubic ninja card is used for Ninjhax doing this also lets you keep the mset option if you want and allows for gba dsiware.

The red card is almost useless unless for some reason you need to boot Emunand.

Can O3DSXL do this as well?? Or am I always forced to boot up GW Menu from browser?

So that would be the advantage of 4.5? Easier access to emunand? (no need for internet all the time to load GW Menu?)

So if I have to get into emuNAND anyhow to use either GW or Sky3DS then I might as well take the steps of downgrading to 4.5?

Although there would be small downsides like not being able to use Themes.... but then I would just install the custom theme manager on 4.5, right?

Any other downsides to using 4.5?? Will I still be able to use spider injection for pokemon? (Look! I didn't call it Pokeinjection!)

if you want to keep all those hacks/features your better off just loading the gateway card from the browser (even though the card itself is pointless and can be replaced by rxTools) so either way its a lose lose technically.

I wouldn't say it's pointless... it does act as a second storage/mSD for .3ds ROMs. I know it sounds petty, but already I've noticed how much space I have left after installing all my .CIAs onto my 64GB system mSD.

It's just frustrating having to juggle NANDs to play DS and 3DS games. The upside? Everything else having an emuNAND offers. So... yeah. It is kind of a lose/lose situation with one really big win: being able to dump ROMs.

I downgraded my O3DS, because the only thing I use sysNand for is getting to emuNand. And I guess DS games with the blue card, if I feel like it. But then, I never really messed with other exploits like the Pokemon thing. (Since I had access to SaveDataFiler, I just used that to extract my save and edit it with PKHeX, but it was also a while ago.) Having to switch between Classic and Gateway modes certainly seems like it'd be a bit of a pain, though. Wish I had a better solution for you.

Even with the other method I still have to gank my SD out so yeah... Maybe it's time to move back to 4.5.

SDF is amazing. After having used Sky3DS I have to admit how much better GW is about handling savedata.

I also have had some folks recommend FBI...

Close thread. I'm done. Problem solved.

Just install A9LH and use the GW Arm9loaderhax.bin so that you can be on GW SysNAND, then install the bluecardfix.cia. Then you can use your cias and stuff. Then if you want to use GW Blue, then just boot Luma3ds instead of GW:)
