It's open source, so no need to be updated forcefully by Alberto or the main devs leading RXTeam, maybe someone will vcome before and makes magic and enables N3DS support, just wait LEL ;).

Here's the latest code.bin built from here https://github.com/mid-kid/CakesROP/tree/master/CakesROPSpider (just replaced "cakes.dat" in nvram.c with "rxTools.dat", so you don't need the ropCustom.txt anymore)
According to the commit message, it should work on all versions with a downgraded 4.X-6.X mset. I just tested on 7.1.0-16E and 9.0.0-20E (both with a 6.X downgraded MSET). Don't have time to test on others firmwares.

(You need to use this rxTools version : https://gbatemp.net/goto/post?id=5568522#post-5568522)
Can't get MSET exploit to work on 7.2.0-12U. (Update from 6.2 to 7.2 using game cart)

When the browser crashed, the error asked for save data and restart, but the 3ds not auto-restart after pushing A.

Any eta on the official 3.0 release?
No ETA. If you feel worried you could just get to its Github Repo and see the code.
Also if anyone helps the development it would come even sooner.

Cause there are two already gone for vacation, you can take a look at @b1l1s and @mid-kid CakeHax.
Now they've decrypted (With Rei) part of N3DS Firm (Old one), a quite big step forward.

Eh.. If you're not using N3DS, you could just compile the latest source for your sake.

Eh.. Game carts update may lack of some components such as browser.
Note: there is 6.1, 4.x, 9.0-9.2 for CakeHax. Still don't know if it works well enough to be on 7.x.

Wasn't mid-kid also helping RXTeam? If so then N3DS support should be "just around the corner" or "by the end of the week"

1. SOON (TM)
2. Around the corner
3. By the end of this week / month.
All "CopyRighted" so i don't know which to choose. (lol)

In fact @mid-kid 's Cakehax is becoming more important than his CakesFW...
It could even be a standard loader/launcher for all those, orz.

Not that soon, sorry. They have just decrypted part of arm9bin.
You would have to : decrypt -> patch -> (debug..) -> test.. before publicly released.
You might even have to recover some symbols so you wouldn't unfortunately patch some wrongly.
Still that's quite good news. In the way of the first stage.

I see, indeed it is a big step, but only the beggining of the bigger step. The enormous step will be when someone out of the elite devs circle manages to decrypt the new 9.6+ encryption.

The encryption stages are already documented on 3dbrew, see FIRM. I doubt if that's the problem really.
You would have to know where you could patch, so some analysis might be applied to the fully decrypted one.
If feeling boring you could also read current code of rxtools to try to understand it more. Or help @nastys with documents..
N3DS is still a big object to go.. Hope them lucky.

The code.bin doesn't work woth the 5.X-6.X browser, and games updates don't update it.

To use the code.bin on 6.X (or in you case 7.X updated from 6.X with a gamecard) you need to install the 7.1-9.5 browser.

The titles id are 0004003000009D02 for EU, 0004003000009402 for US, 0004003000008802 for JP and the version is 4096 for the 3 regions.
