Hello, I am purchasing a new Gateway 3DS and want to ask about SD cards..
1. which microSD card should I get for my Gateway? a 64GB card? How fast? I saw PNY is pretty cheap - should I pick a PNY from Amazon or pick up a SanDisk from BestBuy?
2. which SD card should I get for my 3DS? I got the first edition and all I have is a 2GB Toshiba. I've got a couple of Class 4 Centon SD card lying around - but I read from some threads that the faster the better for saves - is 32GB good? Or should I go smaller? (doesn't seem like I save that much if I go smaller) Same question as above - PNY or SanDisk?

I think you can with Gateway, but Sky3DS is region locked.
So the short answer is no for now, because I think gateway only support N3DS up to 9.5?

1. 32GB is generally good. Get 64GB if you have some money left or plan to use it for something else such as for your smartphone. Speed does not matter much, I would get SanDisk for a safe purchase. It should cost around 30ish bucks for 32GB.
2. I do not own an SD card, but it should be similar to microSD. I think 16GB or 32GB is okay for the internal storage if you ever care to upgrade it at all. Class 10 or UHS-1 is pretty the standard in term of speed these days.

If you're talking about the browser on N3DS, no there isn't any exploits that you can use on the N3DS browser. That's because it's a different browser overall, called Skater. The O3DS browser was called Spider, hence the name Spider exploit.

No you don't need Gateway, sorry if the post I linked mentioned Gateway in any way. You just need to use SaveDataFiler in to backup your game. Gateway's emunand and Rxtool's emunand are exactly the same and work the same.

Having an issue with the DS profile exploit on a New 3DS XL.

I followed the directions step-by-step and seemingly installed it correctly, but every time I try to boot into Gateway mode my DS goes blank (freezes).

If I hold the Left Shoulder button immediately after pressing the DS Profile key, it takes me to the Gateway boot menu, but if I try to boot into Gateway mode from there, it does the same blank screen/freeze.

The box isn't sealed I'm sure, you can easily take the 3DS out and check yourself. Then you can return it (Wait it should be way too late to return it) so why don't you just open it and see then.

Since you're above 9.2, your only option is a Sky3DS flashcard. It is possible to use CFW without a flashcard, but your 3DS must be on 9.2 or lower.

Sounds like you updated your emuNAND to above 9.5. If you have a backup of your emuNAND try restoring it with emuNAND tool and see if GW will boot then.

I used the guide from the official gateway website.

I will probably just reformat my SD cards, revert to my old sysnand, and reinstall everything again and see if that works.

You can use sysupdater to update to a specific firmware in emunand, you can update to 9.5 directly this way. Otherwise, updating from system settings in emunand will bring you straight to the latest (9.8)

I got my hands on a 6.1 2DS today. I setup 6.1 emuNAND, unlinked, and tried to update the emuNAND. After the update, the emuNAND won't boot (Yes, sysNAND is still 6.1). Tried two SD cards of varying speed and sizes, to no avail.
