Firmlaunch does not work with Rythm Tengoku: The best Plus (eShop Version) on new3DS 9.2J.

Because there is no game with a 9.0-9.2J update-package.

Well, there are directions for setting up a sort of middleman update server, but it sounds very complicated to me. I was scared to even try it and I'm hard-modded...

Edit: Actually, someone has already set it up for you! If you have a way to run NTR (was there ever a Japanese Cartridge version of Cubic Ninja or was it eshop only?) you can follow the directions here:

Good to know, I guess. I've kept my eye out, but I've never come across one. Not that I own a Japanese 3ds, but I do live here. Handy game to have...

@puppytail im so tired I brain farted... Do you have a CN cart or a Sky3ds or Gateway? Of course if you had a Gateway and no Cubic Ninja, you'd probably need Ocarina of time to use the Gateway (unless the latest launcher fixed issues with 8.1J). Anyway, with either Ninjhax or a Gateway, you can download the files you need to upgrade with 3dnus and use pretty much any .cia installer.

No as you still need the amiibo settings software that's in 9.3 as well as the home menu from 9.3 which gives you access to it. I don't know if you install the amiibo settings using a CIA installer and launch it from that if it will run on 9.2

Anybody hardmodded that could try that? I personally am quite fond of my n3ds.....

One might be able to try it in emuNand 9.2 to see if it works.

As I dont have a gateway I can't use Emunand on my N3DS. So I guess i shall be patient and wait for another person to try.

I'll try it when I get the chance.

EDIT: I'm in the process of creating a 9.2 emuNand on my N3DS to test if I can install the amiibo settings app without it causing a brick. It shouldn't pose an issue since 9.2 isn't aware of the app and I'm not changing any critical system file. I will use FBI to launch the app and see if it boots and can see my Link amiibo figure.

If that works file I will then test it on sysNand. I don't know if the amiibo settings app from 9.6 will work with firmlaunch on the N3DS since I believe it can only launch up to 9.5 apps. I'll try it anyway. If that doesn't work I will then use the amiibo settings app from 9.3.

Nope doesn't work. I tried both the 9.3 and 9.6 amiibo settings app and they don't launch. There must be something else to it.

I have to return to work from lunch, and my wife wants to go see a movie tonight. I'll test after that. Not looking forward to using emu and again though. I'm kind of hoping it will work on sysnand with a gateway.

And I'm wondering to myself why I haven't tried this already...

Ok, but there are still other things I can try since I will use my sysnand. There's the shop spoof and then there's also trying 9.3 mset along with the 9.3 Amiibo settings. If it did work out, I know it wouldn't be ideal, but I can always use OOT to launch Gateway when I want to...
