Hacking N3DS XL Firmware by version number

Well the one I had was QEH1028, and came with 9.4, so I could only assume a higher serial means higher firmware.

But QEH1034 seems to be 9.0...

I just want to verify that the QW1049 was on 9.2 before I add it to the list. That seems very odd considering QW1037-QW1047 were reported to be 9.4 and QW1050+ were reported to be 9.5; also, only special edition N3DSes have been reported to be on 9.2.

Sorry. It was a mistake on my part. I used number pad and made typo between 2 and 5. QW104927685 (Black): 9.5.0-20U. QW105562526 (Red): 9.5.0-20U.

I am gonna wait until near deadline of exchange and exchange. Hopefully it's a different inventory slot, and my exchange would be desired firmware.

Bought at FYE in Jersey Gardens Mall. I think that was their last one. I'm not sure. They DID have three Majora's Mask units(well, now two since my friend picked one up), but all weren't exploitable as per the chart. All they had were the second wave that Nintendo put out to ease demand. I forgot the other two as I just checked one personally before settling on the black as I lucked out and wanted to get the hell out of dodge before anything else. NO ONE really buys anything at that fucking store. They STILL have the Splatoon Amiibo three packs as well as the Inkling Boy and Girl. I needed the N3DS more, so I left them there.

My friend bought one since he just wanted that particular unit and to be legit, so I DO have confirmation on that. This is one of the reissued ones:

The message in the OP means that if the N3DS doesn't have the airplane demo, the N3DS has been returned to the store, formatted and likely updated, meaning that reporting an N3DS that's missing the airplane demo will be an inaccurate report for that serial. All (US) N3DSes, regardless of firmware version, come with the paper airplane demo, but if it's been formatted it won't have it.

It should be 9.0 if its the first batch (the ones that you had to pre order) but judging from the list that should be on 9.4.
