Hacking [PSA] Smash Bros Update does not work on 9.2

RXTools sig patched and emuNAND 9.8, works flawlessly, and a curious thing happened: The .cia containing the Mewtwo DLC also unlocks everything.

I know it will sound weird but the first dlc patch. The one for mewtwo also unlocks all the new things that released today. You juat got to install the update first, then the dlc. Check if you don't have all of them already. Let me know.

Uninstall that cia and install the old one for mewtwo. It's supposed to unlock everything after instaling the update.

using gateway with 9.0 sysnand w/ 9.8 emunand
download updates
using ssb as cia (already had mewtwo and other dlc done before)

O3ds with sysnand on 4.2 usa, and rxtools with signatures patched emunand on 9.8 usa, running smash without a problem, also instaleld dlc and update, now beating the sh*t of everyone using RYU. BTW, someone know if I open a game save I used on 4.2 sysnand will corrupt it, or I can play them safely on emunand as the higher FW uses a different encryption.

Just as an FYI my emunand isn't on 9.8 since I have an n3ds XL and the new update works fine. Must be using Gateway though, Pasta does not work.

I have tried Tapia's instructions and nothing works. I've made sure to delete the update data, the DLC data, the save data, another dump of the game, only black screen, no boot at all. Double checked GW launcher, made sure that everything that was Smash related was deleted, made sure my red card was not fried or something of the sort, made sure everything I've tampered in SysNAND was changed back to it's normal state (Only GBA related files which should not tamper with Gateway from the GBAtemp guide), trimmed the rom, changed the header, deleted all themes, absolutely nothing works so far and I can't really install Smash Bros nor Monster Hunter as a CIA at the moment.
I'm just kind of defeat, I don't have any clue as to why this is happening seeing as it worked perfectly fine before updating to 9.8 EmuNAND and now I kinda regret doing that at all. And yet other people have working ROMs that load from their cards. I seriously don't have the slightest clue as to why this is happening at all.

Can confirm. Worked fine before 1.08 but broken on 9.0.0 E n3ds digital game on sysnand.

ugh. I'm not happy about this one bit.

I wanted to not have to go into emunand just to play smash each time. (I have a retail copy and I never play online, so I have no use to go on any higher firmware).

if I do update, I will always have to go into emunand just to play my retail copy since the game always reads saved data as currupted if not on the last update it saved with.

Works on n3ds with gw and 9.4 emunand for me. Had to download cias from a couple sources before finding on e that worked so give that a shot.

I'm still on 9.0 and it works perfectly fine in emunand with all dlc and patches. I used fbi to install them.

What are you talking about? Pasta will not work with Ninjhax 2.0. If you update your firmware to latest, you will have to go 100% fully legit games only. no more pirating for you

Not only is that whole statement false, but Gateway has done a shit ton for the N3ds. That's what I use with mine and I have every game, dlc, all of it. EmuNand isn't at the latest yet but of course Gateway will come out with it eventually. Those cfw and Ninja Hax don't stack up to Gateway in my opinion.

Unlocking everything means having for free every DLC released as for today for the game of topic. Mii outfits, stages, characters, every single dlc. I need to start being extra specific from now on. I don't think there's any danger installing the dlc cia and unlocking "everything"
