Hacking [PSA] Smash Bros Update does not work on 9.2

Everybody having problems on 9.8 emunand try this.

1.Uninstall the update and the dlc using devmenu or data managment in system settings.
2.Reinstall the update with eshop or devmenu if its cia.
3.Run the game (wait for at least 20 seconds)
4.If it works then install the dlc

Gonna try this now on 9.8. I can confirm it doesn't work on 9.4 emunand

I'm pretty sure anyone using Gateway or RxTools emuNAND (patched or unpatched) can run the update just fine, since the 9.8 NATIVE_FIRM is used instead of the sysNAND version, like Pasta, Palantine, etc. use.

Noticed a few things... even though the DLC is only like 2.5mb, it takes quite a while to install (around 2 minutes?)
Also, you can't press the home button while in character select screen, you have to back out first

The problem is just for non gateway users right. cause i installed the dlc before the 1.0.8 update and it worked fine.

It works on emunand. That's my setup. It works on sysnand 9.0 too but only in gateway mode.

Would it work with my MT-Card running on Emunand 9.2 on my O3DS?. If not Mt-Card should support EmuNand 9.4 but I never bothered to update, is there anyway I can now manually from 9.2?

You won't lose anything if you nands are linked, and even if they're not, just use savedatafiler.

No, you can go to gatewaymode sysnand pressing and holding button b while selecting gateway mode on te gateway menu. It works on 9.0 sysnand with the gateway patches.

Thank you again. If I could bother you with one more question...I installed the 2nd set of DLC fine (Ryu, Lucas, etc) but the first DLC set will not install (the one with MewTwo). It says that CIA is invalid. I know for a fact I've used that CIA before to get that 1st set of DLC. Why would it no longer work?

Actually it seems as though I figured it out; maybe I can help someone else out. DLC must be installed in the order it was released! I had to uninstall DLC pack 2 (Ryu, Lucas, etc) and then I could install DLC pack 1 (MewTwo) and then DLC pack 2 again. Hope this helps anyone else out having problems.

I know it will sound weird but the first dlc patch. The one for mewtwo also unlocks all the new things that released today. You juat got to install the update first, then the dlc. Check if you don't have all of them already. Let me know.
