You need to unlink your emunand. The tickets to games you installed on sysnand or emunand but not the other means that if you visit eShop or Data Management on the one that didn't have the tickets will cause the effected games to be removed.

Is that why it deleted the Smash update and the Mewtwo DLC?
The game itself didn't delete.

Okay, so let me get this straight, all I have to do is follow the instructions on the official rxtools website but switch the dat from there with the one from this thread?

You have to install a cia installer before setting up an emunand, and for that you need either an old3ds on 4.X (+ a compatible ds flascart if your last digit is under 7) or cubic ninja with pasta.

Yeah. Currently the "free" method of getting DevMenu installed is to use Gateway launcher to backup your sysnand, then use the downgrade feature (these do not require a gateway card) to downgrade to 4.x. Then get PBT-CFW and use it to install DevMenu using the network install stuff to send a CIA over the network to install. Then use gateway menu to format new emunand using your current sysnand. This will transfer your DevMenu to emunand. Then you can restore your sysnand backup. Boot up rxMode, go to system settings (make sure it's emunand by checking the version text first), then using System Update. It will update emunand to 9.8 and you'll have DevMenu. From which you can install CIAs and do what ever you like. :D

Eur SSB is not region free, only the pokemon games are region free.
thought you told me the eur version is not region free? then this is false then?

In case I wanted to keep my current Emunand (since it has purchases/DLC and stuff) Could I copy and inject the ticket.db from emunand into sysnand, then install devmenu somehow and finally re-inject the current sysnand ticket into emunand?
Also would it be possible to avoid downgrading at all if the spiderhax project does succeed at working on 9.2?

So if I want to use this for loading unsigned cias I do need some other exploit?

Alright, today I get to be the ubernoob. So a few simple questions (that might be dumb):

1. If I'm already on PastaCFW on my O3DS 9.2, and have a clean/legit N3DS on 9.7, what does installing RxTools get me? What benefit is there? From what I can tell, it looks like a 'free' emuNand that would let you access the eShop and such. And not have to install things to sysNand (which I don't mind). Along with some devtools which I never found the need to install.

2. Does RXTools do anything besides the stuff listed on the forum page for it? Plugins? Doesn't really seem that handy, outside of the emuNand feature.

3. If I have my N3DS and O3DS with linked sysnands (I transferred an emunand, and never de-linked emu/sysnand, so my two sysnands are linked), would this cause problems if I access the eShop on my O3DS? Or should I install emuNand, de-link, and then do as I please? Also, again, what would be the benefit in doing this? All my eShop stuff is handled by my N3DS, so there's no pressing urge for my to update my O3DS.

4. Is is it safe to update my N3DS to 9.8 if it's already on 9.7? I've been keeping it downgraded just in case, but if I can update safely, that'd be preferred.

Basically... what does RXTools get me besides emunand? I really only care about launching software (home-brew, CIAs, etc). And perhaps a live ram-debugger to make some AR codes or something. Any reason to go through all the trouble to set this up?

1. Nothing i guess except new ver of emunand. Afaik all current games work fine in 9.2.
2. As for me, it easy to create cia cus rxtools provide xorpad generation in menu. I use simple cia converter + rxtools.
3. I think i heard someone mention about corrupted database after accessing eshop. U might need more info on this issue.

You can launch custom themes/cia freely, but this don't work on N3DS so it don't matter if you update her.
(how you two sysnand are linked?)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

so i should download this on and try it then?

If you want playing SSB, yes

Regarding *this*, I don't think it matters who is "cool" with what... What are they gonna do? Ha!

I think with PBT-CFW is used, but I'm not sure.

1. Compatibility with SSB4? Perhaps? No need for CN on FW9.2?
2. Not really, decryption, etc, what you can read in the forum page.
3. Misunderstood and deleted.
4. Is it safe to be already on 9.7? It is already fucked up being on a FW over 9.2, why would it be more fucked up on FW9.8?
