Alright, today I get to be the ubernoob. So a few simple questions (that might be dumb):
1. If I'm already on PastaCFW on my O3DS 9.2, and have a clean/legit N3DS on 9.7, what does installing RxTools get me? What benefit is there? From what I can tell, it looks like a 'free' emuNand that would let you access the eShop and such. And not have to install things to sysNand (which I don't mind). Along with some devtools which I never found the need to install.
2. Does RXTools do anything besides the stuff listed on the forum page for it? Plugins? Doesn't really seem that handy, outside of the emuNand feature.
3. If I have my N3DS and O3DS with linked sysnands (I transferred an emunand, and never de-linked emu/sysnand, so my two sysnands are linked), would this cause problems if I access the eShop on my O3DS? Or should I install emuNand, de-link, and then do as I please? Also, again, what would be the benefit in doing this? All my eShop stuff is handled by my N3DS, so there's no pressing urge for my to update my O3DS.
4. Is is it safe to update my N3DS to 9.8 if it's already on 9.7? I've been keeping it downgraded just in case, but if I can update safely, that'd be preferred.
Basically... what does RXTools get me besides emunand? I really only care about launching software (home-brew, CIAs, etc). And perhaps a live ram-debugger to make some AR codes or something. Any reason to go through all the trouble to set this up?
