Hacking Help on converting .3dz save from gateway card1 to cia

I have been following the guide ,it seems they didnt explain quite well.

A. EXPORT .3ds/.3dz to eShop:

Savegame example: Super Mario 3D Land (0004000000053F00) > http://3ds.essh.co/

1. Connect the SD Card to your PC
2. Copy your Savegame and save it as 000400000FF40A00.sav
3. Put SD Card back into your 3DS
4. Turn it on and execute Exploit
5. Mount your .3ds/.3dz Game
6. Start SaveDataFiler (CTR Card is no longer broken!) and highlight CTR Card
7. Press Y and then A to export the Savegame

SaveDataFiler stores in SDCARD:\filer\UserSaveData\20150131010203\0000053f
YEAR-MONTH-DAY-HOUR-MINUTE-SECONDS \ TitleID low

8. Switch to SD and highlight your TitleID
9. Press R+A and then A to import your Savegame
10. Press Home, select the cia game and press two times A to start


The gateway itself already created the .save , how does it mean rename it?
SaveDataFlier always shows CTR Broken ,how can i actually make it to be able to read it ? How can i able to export it ? Hopefully someone can explain it in details to me ,thanks in advance.

You need to rename your game's sav to 000400000FF40A00.sav, select the game in gateway and ctr isn't broken anymore.

as i already mentioned ,the gateway itself already created that numbers.sav.

Edit : ok now i got the meaning by myself.
000400000FF40A00.sav is the main key, and nobody explains about that,that's why so many users keep getting CTR broken.

Delete the existing 000400000FF40A00.sav, make a copy of the sav you want to transfer, and then rename that copy to 000400000FF40A00.sav. This is what SDF reads when the game is loaded (As far as I understand).

I did the same thing and it seems that my CTR is still broken.

One thing different was that I didn't have an initial 000400000FF40A00.sav to delete so I just renamed the save file i wanted to 000400000FF40A00.sav, am I missing something?

I think my gateway didn't create the initial 000400000FF40A00.sav for some reason?


Edit: Weird I don't know why but for whatever reason the .cia file loads the save game that I had originally when playing the .3dz. I didn't do any of the export import with SDF successfully.....do I need to rename the savefile back to it's original? P.S. I did this with fantasy life.

Fantasy Life store its save as extra data on the SD card, not in the Gateway's .sav files. You don't need to follow the guide, your .3dz and .cia game should load the same save data everytime.

If you want to backup or restore your saves, you have to change to Ext tab in SaveDataFiler.
