Online in terms of games is dependent on the game being up to date, not your system being up to date.

if people don't try then how will anybody know if it works or not?
besides it takes seconds to restore your old emunand with emunand tool, so no harm done

it will work fine, just shut off internet before you exit the game

Thank God. My 3ds was a little unstable. it needed more stability.

Mine actually is. After the previous update my 3ds crashed a lot while playing a game from the SD card. This fixed the problem.
