so whats better Gateway or PASTA CFW?

I already have both, NinjaCube and Gateway and a n3DS with 9.2.

Run manualy not working for me in Games. Dunno. For the Shop itself it work fine but not for Ingame =/

To get Starter Packs or Free DLCs? And not need to use CIAs? (Because most CIA's are crap, saw it with Pokemon 1.3 Patch which broken Eshop)

so get them from the eshop? AFAIK the eshop spoofer just tricks the home menu eshop. not any ingame ones because they're different. i don't think building it into the CFW would change that. though i could be wrong on that.

ok I don't know if it will work on pasta, but you could use this to also spoof your firmware to access the eshop:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...eshop-and-more-on-new-3ds-and-old-3ds.386591/

well from what i understand, people are having issues in getting the e-shop inside other games/apps to work.
with this i managed to update my Mii Plaza, which is also another app so i suppose that it should work for all apps/games.

If they would be in Eshop I wouldn't ask :o

NVM :)

Where else would you be able to download DLC officially? There is an alternative but if the DLC and game itself requires a certain firmware version and your not on it or below it than the game isn't going to work.

No. I can't launch anything with spider. I was using the 4.X browser so I tought it was for the old version, so updated to the 7.1 version, but nothing.

And I'm not talking of my code (that will need some debugging), also the simple code.bin template in spider tools crashes.

Yesterday I downgraded my 3DS so now I don't have to ask my son's one.
Spider3DStools is only oriented for 9.x. You would have to modify it to work with other browser versions, or figure out how Roxas launches rxTools from the browser.

Which evidences can you bring to your affirmation?

I tryed memory dump and it works on my 4.X with spider 17567. So are proved to be working both the first stage ROP and the second stage ROP.

The only thing not working are the framebuffer offsets (probably the public ones are really only for 9.X).

I use to draw something on framebuffers to track different stages of the code. I'll switch to use the fill screen register to understand where the code freezes.

Regarding modifying spider 3DS tools, it's what I'm doing. Debugging is unavoidable.

I only say that because of what was said in the official thread so long ago. When it first appeared, I asked if it worked on 8.1, as that is what I am on, and was told it only worked from 9.0-9.4, then later told 9.3-9.4 did not work. If you look at most everything using spider, you'll see they are claimed as 9.x oriented, and that is because most use spider3DStools as a base.

I mean, hey, man, if you have it working on more firmwares, more power to you. I was just telling you what I was told as to help you get unstuck.

Edit: As Zoogie said, maybe ARM9-spider will help.

I'm only searching technical evidences to do not waste time. AFAIK reading the code it should work for every firmware. The only variable is spider version (once linked to the FW version, now independent because everyone can downgrade/upgrade freely)

Ah, now I understand. Which document has the firmware version as a specified variable?
